| Oh, snap! It's go time! (In more ways than one lol).
I do have to say though, the idea of two people waking up, and then, without brushing their teeth (or casting a quick charm, which in the HP universe would be easy to throw in), and passionately kissing ALWAYS takes me out of any romantic scene... I would never even imagine doing that with my HUSBAND whom I've been with for 7 years lol, and it has nothing to do with love, it's just, well... I think it's gross. A pet peeve. Also, with Hermione it feels so out of character, the daughter of two dentists and all that. I think she would take the time to cast a quick charm at least for teeth cleaning and morning breath lol. Of course, there has only been ONE author in one story that I've noticed address this with the characters dealing with basic hygiene before intimacy, so it's clearly only me. I don't know. Not meant to be a criticism, just... a thought, I guess.
Anyway, I'm glad they've moved to the next stage of their relationship, and it really was a lovely chapter, despite my personal squeamishness about morning breath making it not "hot" for me, it was sweet. And poor, mad Severus, dealing with the summons, it does make a person sad. Looking forward to the action!
Oh, btw! Try not to kill EVERYONE, okay? lmao ;-) It's apparently a strong urge with authors near the end of a series. Maybe a note with "No owls were harmed in the writing of this battle." *snicker* Author's Response: Hmmm... I can certainly see what you're saying, and I don't disagree exactly. I'm just not one to hop out of bed and brush my teeth before a morning romp, and neither is my sweetie. Maybe we just aren't particularly odious in the morning, I have no idea. Or maybe, having been together 19 years, we just don't care anymore, lol! I will try my best not to kill everyone. :D Thanks! | |||

This story is Still. Made. Of. Total. Win. Always was. Love Hermione rediscovering her brash side. Also: Love the way they both straighten their spines and do what has to be done when the crunch comes. I'm sure Severus will have a grand time being "mad" again to hoodwink the Death Eaters, at least for a while.
I really think of all fanfic as just the loveliest gift, not an entitlement, so I *try* my best not to whine "why don't you update" when a particularly compelling story is unfinished. | Thoroughly enjoyed the new chapter. It felt realistic in that, for some reason, bravery in bed does seem to come more easily in the morning ;) I could believe that Hermione was ready to initiate the next step at that point. | Absolutely fabulous and this chapter was well worth the wait. I saw the gorgeous Mr R on stage last year in Dublin in the flesh as it were and god help me. I'm a nana of 49 and he's a few years older but oh Jesus Christ at some points I ogled the dear man's crotch....I mean how perverted is that? Thanks for bringing them together so erotically.
