| Poor Severus. His father really messed him up, didn't he? He is still trying to justify or talk himself out of his feelings for Hermione. I am glad he does not resent her for his falling in love with her. I wonder what he will learn? It seems his dad truely loved his mum as well and tried (successfully) to hide it. What will his mom tell him after the pensive???? Great chapter, Sun! smooches P.S. Does Harry come to Sanpe's home to see Hermione? ;-) Author's Response: Yep, dear old dad muddled with his mind a great deal. | Sunshine, either you’ll write too fast or I have been too wrapped up with my work, I missed your 9th chapter, so this time I got to read two wonderful chapters:-).
So, who’s the sneaky one now, he’s really losing his touch, isn’t it. Wonder when Severus has enough guts to admit himself and to Hermione, he loves her, I mean the signs are already there. I’m glad the voices in his head are becoming quieter; I hope soon they will disappear completely.
I actually understand Harry's point of view to confront Severus in front of Hermione. He had friend to protect after all and a part of him wanted to get a bit even with Severus for all his insults during his school years, it probably wasn't the nicest way to do it but...

Author's Response: I've been updating slowly lately it seems. Nonetheless, I'm glad you've had the time to catch up. I'm just now working on the next bit, having a good portion outlined and a section already written. It shouldn't take too long. My beta is out of town for now, and I hate to impose on the lovely Meredith too much. It won't be all that long though. Severus does love her. I think that soon he will openly admit it to himself (after his findings). About Harry, I can understand his point as well. He probably thought Hermione was still angry, as per her letter. So, he thought they were in the same mind about things. More up soon! Cheers! | |||

| I both love and hate men like this. It really is understandable looking at it from the outside in, but for Hermione it would have to be torture. She does not understand the reasons behind why he see love as a weekness. He has so few examples of what love can do to make you stronger rather than weeker. He only sees the downside. I hope that when Harry comes to visit that Hermione does not give into the friendship and shows Severus true loyalty and give Harry a piece of her mind. It is no one fault that Hermione lost the baby but Harry was intentionally trying to hurt one of his best friends when he said things about her husband that he knew to be false. That is inexcusable. And Severus needs to see, preferrably from a point where he is not seen, that Hermione is his wife first and Harry's friend second. I think that would go a long way in getting Severus to trust her, and trust is the main foundation for love, without it you have nothing. And Severus has seen so little unconditional trust in his life. Albus does not count, as Severus would see that as conditional. Hermione wants nothing from him in return other than to share his life.
I look forward to finding out what he finds in his house, maybe his mother's journal or his father's.
You write wonderfully and I can't wait for your updates. All of them.
B Author's Response: I know exactly what you mean. lol.. Love it. Hate it. things will be changing for them again. Severus will have something quite shocking be revealed to him. Hermione will force him to allow her to help. About Harry, things will be smoothed over, and they will move on. But, as you said, she's Severus' wife first. As time passes, he'll start to see that she truly is loyal and not weak. In return, he'll realize that love doesn't make someone weak, but stronger. About what he finds? Yes, you are right there in the vicinity of it. :) more up soon! | |||
