| THIS would have been the last chapter???? I don't think so! You need to go ahead and take your time recovering from being sick, but this story ain't over until Severus and Hermione are HAPPY together. No more misunderstandings. It does look like Hermione has learned to let Severus change at his own pace and to feel in control, not surprising considering how he has been under others' control for much of his life - especially under Voldemort's control, then Dumbledore's control too. Like Hermione, I still think he can change; it will just take time. And probably more than just one more chapter. Author's Response: no, hehe, if i don't continue it, i would have made the next one the last one since everything didnt fit here. I think Hermione is doing well for the moment. It's just as you said, she is letting him feel in control while she quietly gets things her way (the public relationship, etc...). Great chapter - I love that Sevreus is so dark (much more so than your other stories). But I think Hermione has the right of it - - keep loving him until he bends. Author's Response: yep, hermione will bend him eventually. i think he gives more and more each chapter. | Although Hermione is obviously smitten with Severus, I do not think that she would be this weak. To me, her cannon character does not seem intensely strong (emotionally), but I do feel that she would not tolerate being taken advantage of (especially since she chamions the rights of the oppressed). Perhaps her motives will become clearer as the story progresses, but at the moment she seems quite out of character. Author's Response: yep, i agree. I have the other characters pointing that out as well (Harry, Ron, Albus, Minerva, etc...). She will be herself soon though. I think her obessesion has blinded her, poor doll. I've been there and done that, and I'm a strong-willed woman. The next chapter will show more of a normal Hermione. I think at this moment, she has realized what she needs to do to get him to 'care' for her, and she'll do it using his tactics. Between us, she will state exactly why she began desiring him in the first place. You know how she always feels pity for those less fortunate, well, the truth is that she felt sorry for him at first. | I usually like your stories and I do like this one, but I had hoped that Hermione wouldn't have to keep giving of herself without much from Severus. He is taking too long to come around and love her. He needs to recognize that the voice in his head reminding him about weakness is an old recording that he needs to get rid of. His thoughts of having a willing witch when he wants her makes me feel that Hermione should drop him. She is having to compromise way too much and she is being untrue to herself. Women have done this for too long. Just my thoughts... Author's Response: I'm with you. I would tell his arse to hit the road. Well, the woman I am today would tell him that. However, I have been this poor excuse for a woman with one of my ruddy ex-boyfriends. i always thought that he'd realize how much i loved him and come around. ahahha.. now i'm like wtf? lol... This chapter is a turning point for them both. She is going to start voicing more of what she wants, and he will start realizing more of how he feels. I had hoped to convey that he had given in a bit more than he wanted to when he relented on the public stuff, etc... more up soon though. hopefully, you'll stick with it, and let me know if you are liking it better. I promise a Severus epiphany one of these days. :) | |||

| You know me, add it here I say!!!!! I liked this chapter a lot. It explained a lot about Severus' mind set. I want MORE! | Hey SunShine, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you get better soon! As for the fic, I'd be happy if you lengthened it. I want to see if Snape could love Hermione in the end. I think I speak for everyone on that fact. I'm enjoying this fic as much as the Succubus, I don't want this fic to end too quickly. I knew Snape could be stubborn, but I never thought it would last this long! I want to hit him upside his head! Arg! I want to throttle him, actually. What's with men and their stupid pride?! I came to the conclusion that men are stupid: that's why I never put up with them. Since their agreement, let's see if Snape is happy with it, shall we? Until the next chapter, take care! Cheers!
