| I think he's being an insecure bastard, and as usual, hindsight is 20/20. I"m sure things will work out eventually, but he needs to come to terms with the fact that caring for someone and loving them doesn't mean that you're weak. Until he learns that, she'll never take him back. Author's Response: Right. He'll definitely learn that along the way. :) | |||

| When You say that you want to write stories that follow canon, I'm afraid I probably won't like them. I guess that I'm one of the few people that don't care for HBP. Snape and Dumbledore are two of my favorite characters and I'm sure that she doesn' t intend to redeem Snape. Anyway, this was a very good story. Author's Response: I didn't like how things went in HBP. Well, I did til the end. That sort of ruined things for me. I just feel guilty writing things when I know they happened differently. lol. | I'm very glad it turned out so well. That's what I love about stories. They can resemble real life but we have a better chance of ending them the way we wish. Thank you for helping Severus become better at the end. I'm still a little bit in HBP denial. I hope very much that she ends her story happier than HBP for Severus and everyone else. I think reading that book so close to this story made my reaction to "mean Snape" more pronounced. I've enjoyed thinking him misunderstood and an ass but not evil. I really hope we find out he is not evil.
I read to escape the sorrows of real life and am one of those weird people who always reads the end of something first, then if it is too sad at the end I don't read it.
I also only watch movies I know end happy. Real life is sad enough. Thank you for sharing your gift of story telling with the rest of us.

| I have mentioned before, this was a very interesting character study. Until a few short weeks ago, we had no idea the extent of Severus' back story. I thought what you presented here was very dark and clever and I applaud you for it. I hope that you are proud of what you achieved (new Canon aside) it was gripping, IMHO. I enjoyed the read, thank you very much. Author's Response: Thank you so much, doll. I appreciate that extra info that you gave me awhile back as well. That helped me out. | I hope Severus has had a truely character changing experience. It could only happen in a magical story. I've seen some people change when they find God. My mom's current husband did. It saved their marriage. That was 27 years ago. I seems to have stuck.
I would take a very long time to trust Severus if I were Hermione, but if I were Hermione he wouldn't want me. I would not have the willingness to try to change him and I'm sure he would find me to be a bitch in his definition of what women should be like. I'll feel so much better if you can make me like Severus again. I hope you can.
But I can tell you that my father is still mad at his father for losing his dignity in the hospital while dieing of cancer. My dad's friend committed suicide in his son's home by blowing off his head with a shot gun to escape losing his dignity and my father approved. I told him if he decides to kill him self, to not leave me a mess to clean up. Have the courtesy to go off and do it woods. I told him I thought it was a shelfish coward's way out and a truely brave man would say good bye to his family and give them the opportunity to show their love to him.
My mother, grandmother and I took care of my grandfather while he died at home. It was one of the hardest and one of the best things I have ever done. We knew he died with love all around him. You reap what you sow. He sowed love and reaped it. I'll sleep better tonight if Snape has a true turn around.

breastlady Author's Response: I can't guarantee you'll like him, but I think you will feel a whole lot better about him. He will change enough to be likeable, in my opinon. I would hate it if my parent killed himself in my home or any place for that matter . How sad. I think your father has an odd way of thinking about things.
