| And this is why Harry almost got sorted into Slytherin. The movie try to play Harry as al sweet and onnocent, when he really does have his own streak of mischieviousness. And Harry coming to make Severus look exceptionally bad in Hermione's eyes was just plain malicious. BAD HARRY! Poor Hermione. She took her pills, got pregnant anyway, got maneuvered into marriage not entirely of her own free will and then winds up loosing one baby and almost the second, which would have made the whole marriage thing moot. At least she was awake to hear Severus' confession with him thinking she was awake - no need to second guess his intentions when he's talking to himself now and not manipluating her. Well, let's just see how well Severus deals with a bed ridden Hermione. Boy, is she going to get snappish and peevish. And Severus will just grit his teeth and bear it. Penance? Contrition? A chance for Hermione and Severus to finally get to know each other without the sex interferring with thier emotions or motives? Love it, love it, LOVE IT! You've done another fabulous job with this challenge and making it so good, twisitng it and making such a compelling story. Keep those chapters coming. Author's Response: Slick!Harry, I call him here. Hermione has just had it rough for the last few days, and wouldnt it have been heart breaking to have gone through all that for nothing? And, yes! I'm so happy that she heard Severus. In fact, she's going to realize that he likes to talk when he thinks she cant hear (wriggles eyebrows). muahahahha Bed ridden Hermione is going to be a tough one after a while, only so much to do while in bed. | Bad, naughty Harry! ;-) Not blaming him exactly for the loss of the baby, what I AM blaming him for is trying to start something between Severus and Hermione when he KNEW Severus didn't do anything. Yes, our Hermione will be mad!
I love how Severus has feelings for Hermione but tries to convince himself otherwise. I also think this fall is what reminded him of his mother and his promise, so if there is a true blessing in disguise, maybe this was it and hopefully they will still have one baby. ;-) I am sorry the other one had to die, but after Poppy's explinations they could've lost both!
I think that when Severus realizes he truely does love Hermione it will hit him like a ton of bricks. He will be like wtf? When did this happen? lol He does all these little things for her, like putting her in her own be because he thinks she wouldn't want to be near him after what Harry said, and writing her folks wanting to reassure them and wanting their approval, when the Severus of a few months ago would've cared less about those things. I would say he is coming along slowly but surely even if he doesn't realize it! | I still think Harry's been in the right for all this. He saw Snape leaving a prostitute's house, buttoning his trousers! What conclusion shiould he have drawn? And Hermione still seems to smart to blame Harry for her fall- that's silly. I dunno, the obvious loophole, that she wouldn't be leaving to be a single mother, she'd be leaving to parent the child with Harry, seems moot now. But I still think both Sev and Hermione are being dense. More soon, neh? Author's Response: too right. i would have been like wtf?? and prob done what harry did. I dont guess he should have tried to pick another fight with snape and lying about it though (knowing he didnt shag the ho). lol Severus just has a couple more things to deal with (a mother issue) that's taken care of in the next chapter. Hermione will also come to term with a few things. i have to update sooner this time b/c my beta will be out all next week ! so in a few days, i'll have more. cheers! xoox | |||

| I wonder why Severus didn't simply say "my mother, who was very dear to me" instead of a woman that was very dear to me - I hope Hermione asks. As for He would be there for her only if she requested it - he will tell her that she has to ask him? They're not going to play more games with "she didn't ask" and "he didn't offer"? Please let this potion work and save the remaining baby! He's trying, he's trying! Author's Response: teehee.. i guess we'll chalk that up to plot devicing? She won't come out and ask about the woman, but she will find out. | I was really worried when you turned to the pregnancy aspect. But you astond me brilliantly written. I love the character development I love how Severus is growing and changing especially where Hermione and the child is concerned. He fought for her wishes went out of his way to help her and his child.
I also like that in your notes that maybe this saved one child where if nature had taken its course she could of lost both that's what I would like to think. I also liked Harry's admission I am so glad you continued this story it just gets better and better Author's Response: thanks, doll. I'm glad that you are liking his changes, subtle yet noticable at the same time. this child will be fine. she's just going to be a little bored, bed rest and all that. more up with harry soon. she'll express her feelings about that and come to terms with her loss. cheers!! more up soon xoxo | |||
