| Poor Snapey. His mum left? I thought she died... would it be possible to seek her out? *shifyeyes* Update soon! Author's Response: no, she did die. you were right. When he said left, he meant it a bit bitterly (as if she had a choice). I think that was when he and his dad were next to her vault after her funeral? Not sure exactly. | Wow...Just, wow!
I like the little realization Severus had at the beginning. Although he compares Hermione to his mum (I think she and the situation is different) it makes him realize he does have some feelings for her, even if he won't call it love. BUt like he admits, he really doesn't know what love is, at least the way a husband loves a wife because of what he has seen and been told during his childhood. Because of his father he percieves his mother as leaving him purposely when she died and that of couse makes trust hard.
I am glad Hermione also realizes she is not blameless. She is the on who started it and even though he has been a right bastard to her most times (before now) he was always honest about how things would be.
I love the note and book her parents sent. It lets Severus see that it was not just Hermione's loss, but his as well. He lost a child too. And the part about how she could see how much he loved her daughter was priceless!!
I love the way he has to talk himself into showing love for her. Like he is only doing these kind things for her benefit. He really believes that though. However, actions speak louder than words.
Can't wait to see what the next chapter brings, what he finds and what the little twist is! ;-) Update soon please!! smooches Author's Response: awww..thanks, dearest. I'm glad that you liked it. So much is happening between them yet time is slowly ticking by. the next chapter will be a real eye opener for him. | I loved Poppy giving Severus what for! I am glad he took her advice as I am sure it was meant - - not wanting to see him (as well as Hermione) hurt if something went wrong. | I always get a little teary when I read this. Thanks for slipping a Lucius reference in there. I was reading every so happily and I saw his name and I grinned. I know he's an evil prat but someone has to love him. I like that Severus isn't changing immediately and that its going to take time. I'm still a little worried about Hermione and the baby. I love your stories so very much! Author's Response: Awww..sorry for the tears. I do like Lucius as well. Just depends, I suppose. hehe Severus' change will be very slow.
