I think that being gentle with someone is often confused with being soft. When really they are in no way connected. Severus does not have to change who he is to love his wife. Althought I could definately understand this character thinking that he would. Hermione will have to walk a very fine line till he is comfortable with his feeling for her. And comes to the realization that loving someone can make you strong, if they love you in return. Great job.....

| I liked this chapter very much. I am glad Snape is putting in some effort to quell his temper...if only because of Poppy! I am looking forward to the next installation. (We are never happy are we!? I'm working with Luring right now, but I shall update here as soon as I can. Hermione didn't hear Severus. It came out as a sort of mumbling to her. It'll be a secret for now. | Ok, I have been thinking and wanted to add another review. You know me, always thinking! LOL I thought it was nothing short of brilliant to have Snape receive a letter from his father only AFTER he admitted he was in love with someone. Not just feeling love, but admitting it. Now, Severus can't justify it away, it makes it more real. Especially after carefully making love to his wife as he so often thinks of her! More more more!!!! Author's Response: always thinking about things. :) I am very glad that he admitted his love to himself finally, albeit reluctantly. they did make love didnt they? hehe | |||

| Ohh I started reading this and the words I'm melting! sprung to mind (His hard exterior) The shrine completely shocked me but I loved the layers it has added I think Hermione would love him if he changed (I'm a romantic fool) and I can only see if for a change for a good. This chapter is my favourite so far. Author's Response: indeed! love the melting bit.
