| This a good chapter as always. When did Severus' father die ? Because of the note 'our son defeated blabla'.
I'm sure Samara was Severus' baby sister.... maybe I'm wrong.
I'm sure that Severus will discover the whole truth about his parents (their lovelife or an unsaid love ? I will see).

| Not Harry!! Maybe he can visit after the baby is born? Sigh.... So, will Severus finally learn why his mother left? How sad for his father; I wonder if talking to her painting was helpful or just a painful reminder of his wife's absence. Did his father even know where to send messages to her? Ack! Please update soon - must know more! Author's Response: lol.. Harry won't cause trouble this time. Severus' mum died. His father made him feel as though she left because it seemed that she willed herself to die, not wanting to stay. He'll find out why though and a few other things. | |||

| I really want to see inside the pensive. I think his father ended the letter with old fool as he realised he had become an old fool. He doesn't want Severus to love someone, because living without love is worse than dying. right? He just wants to protect Sev. Dunno really. And what about that Samara? please, bring Harry over, make Severus jealous, make him confess his feelings. I do want to state that somehow I've grown rather disliking Harry. Don't really know why. anyway. This was a VERy good chapter. i've been checking at least twice a day sonce u said u were writing the next Vengeance chapter. What fic will be next? Luring the enchantress? I really really really like that story. Author's Response: His father did realize his mistakes, but he was a bit late about it. It was only after his wife died, did he realize that he mucked up. Samara would have been Sev's sister had the pregnancy lasted. Harry won't be all that bad soon enough. He's gonna be humbled. | |||

| This was an excellent chapter dealing with Severus' internal battle of to love or not to love. I really like the whole plot device of his father's secret study and shrine to atone for the past sins - treating his mother badly and all. I like how Poppy got Hemrione to back off a bit and think before she jumps/speaks. Both need to make some concessions and adjustments. Though it seems Severus enjoys having Hermione around despite his initial nature to be adverse to it. A lovely chapter! Lots of emotional depth. Keep those chapters coming. Author's Response: Thanks, dear. His father had a 'dirty' little secret all those years! I'm glad that he did though. Now Severus can have a look into different perspectives. Poppy did well in this story. I always see her as a sharp tongued woman, kind of like in the COS movie when she gets all snippy and when she gets on everyone's arse to get out of the hospital when she's trying to tend to Harry (even the headmaster hehe). Our characters here will have to compromise on many things, and there will be some issues that Snape will have to deal with. She'll, of course, have to help him out. :) | |||

| Twins usually are genetic. Was Samara, Severus' twin sister? If she died in childbirth that would explain some of Severus' mystery. Brilliant story, btw. you have me on tenterhooks. Author's Response: She was his little sister. The one that his mum miscarried. Glad you like the story. I'll have more up soon. | |||
