| Well...I think I just cyber-barfed. F**king hell. First the "I'll tell you in our chambers" had me thinking that there was no baby. Then the fall down the stairs just adds to the horror. You. Are. Mean. I'd rather there have been no baby than a miscarriage. Miscarriages are truly aweful. I've had two (and lost a twin) I wouldn't wish that on anyone, even a fictional character. *shudder* Thanks. | Okay, okay...call me a sentimental sap if you must, but I hope you'll enable Hermione to keep the baby. I know that's probably not how it would work in real life -- but at least in my case, I think one of the reasons why I turn to stories like these is precisely because the sort of happy endings which are usually found in these stories seem somewhat hard to come by in real life. At the same time, however, I can also see a way in which Hermione losing the baby might make the story all the better. Given the place in which you've put Hermione emotionally at this point in the story, I think losing the baby would prompt her into walking away from him -- after all, the only reason why they're married now is because of the baby. However, losing the baby might jolt Severus into a re-examination of his feelings for Hermione (it sounds as though he's halfway there already) -- but now Hermione wants no part of him, and he has to win her back. An interesting place to take the story, if you're up to the challenge(!) -- this wouldn't be something you could tie up cleanly in one or two more chapters... Author's Response: i have the next bit plotted out already. it will be a little sad but also, as you said, Severus is half way there. Things will come to light for him even more. more up as soon as I can :) i do believe in happy endings though | |||

| This chapter was really good! But, I think it's stilla bit hard for me to have a completely jaded and hard hearted Professor. I feel like this was abit more to his true nature: hard, but not so much as to see the error of his ways. But I don't think, in your story, that you're going to give us a happy ending. Maybe there will be, and if there is, I"ll be so glad. I just feel like this Severus needs a good shaking. Maybe this incident was his good shaking? Hmmm...what was Hermione's news? Maybe she wasn't pregnant? Maybe twins? Hmmm...I wonder what is was. Author's Response: i believe in happy endings, doll :) this incident will work wonders for severus. you are definitely onto something with your speculations. i will address the Poppy news first thing in the next chapter. :) | |||

| well...thats better...i really really really hate sev in this fic, though he may be redeeming himself. we'll see. did love harry punching him...but the baby! poor mione...
