| Good for Hermione to continually demonstrate that she meant what she said when she said that she wanted to be a real wife to him (lovely, sensitively described... it seems to have gone a long way to dispel some of his preconceived ideas about husband/wife relationships...)... I can't believe those terrible little thoughts creeping in about returning to his normal demeanor... Despite everything, Severus is doing such a nice job of taking care of Hermione and their baby...
I loved the realistic interaction between them in the night (we can't always say and do the right thing); at least they were able to talk it through... beautifully portrayed!!
I love that he has been reading pregnancy books and that Hermione is figuring it out!
Interesting tidbits regarding the nursery and fairy tales, especially the bit about the bookends... I wonder if they were for Severus's unborn sibling...
I looked forward so much to hearing my babies heart beats every visit (it was such a precious thing that caused me to thank God... especially due to the three that I had and then lost...) Every life is such a precious gift!
Their love making was beautifully, sensitively, and erotically portrayed... perfect!!
What an amazing twist... I can hardly wait to see what's next... I think.... There is definitely something foreboding about his father's note...

| I forgot to say that I really loved her parents sending the pendant and Snape kissing her neck, not to mention their conversation about their wedding night and the fight with Harry...
I loved her telling him that she wanted to be a real wife etc. At least there is some progress coming with Severus's learning what love really is...

| I'm sorry, I just realized that I haven't finished my reviews... I tend to print out fics and read them throughout the day, often when I'm not by my computer... I started this story at night by the computer and then I finished it travelling to work etc.
I do love to review as I go, especially when the author provides feedback as well!
You may have noticed, I tend to jot down thoughts and feelings as I read the chapter... I'll give it a try to quickly review the chapter and remember what I thought!

Great advice Poppy! It sure shows the importance of loving, accepting parents who show respect for each other, even if they're not together... Who would really want to poison their children this way!!!
(I was married for 20 years - I got married as soon as I turned 18 to a boy who was 3 years older than me and whom I knew since I was 11 - he left me just before my youngest turned 3, with the other two 5 and 11 - I have never spoken against him in any way and I know that he also speaks of my respectfully to the children... except if he is over to spend some time with the kids while I'm still working and he's complaining about the house not being tidy enough... ) It is so important for children not to have to be in the middle of an adult relationship, trying to decipher whose to blame!
At least Snape is trying to weed out those thoughts and realize the part they are playing in his relationship with Hermione!
I loved being let in on some of the background story from Hermione's POV...
Once again, great call Mom!! (I have also lost 3 children and my mother sent me a great book dealing with grieving over the loss of an unborn child, which I, unfortunately, was able to pass on to my sister and a friend...)
Finally, Severus is being to thaw out and try to make sense of his feelings.... I am so glad that he is reading the book with her and appreciating her parents!
Good girl Hermione... don't let him cop out regarding his feelings and continue to share your feelings with him!!
I loved his declaration at the end (except for the last bit of lies he allowed himself to embrace...)... There is hope! Author's Response: OH, it's quite all right. I tried to print out a story to read in bed, and I ended up running out of ink. Hahaha! silly me! Losing an unborn child is never easy. I am sorry that you've lost three. Your ex complains about an untidy house? Man, he better not come here. I have one son, and my house always has dang toys all over, making it look cluttered. I can imagine with three! Men! | |||

| The pieces of the puzzel called Severus is beginning to unravel! If there is any kind of silver lining in this situation, it is that he is finally remembering his promise to his mom! Thank goodness that he is really trying to follow her wishes and that he has a miracle solution, which he is prepared to do what it takes to see it through and that he has been able to humble his pride enough to allow Harry to help him, despite the fact that he leaves Harry to his worst nightmare!!
It was heart warming to hear both his declaration that he will not be like his father, but that he is his mother’s son and his good-bye to the child he lost.
I loved him baring his soul, when he thought she was asleep… good thing that she wasn’t!

| Good inituition Mom... Talk about sucking up Severus... I'll write every week... This whole scene was great!!
What is with that marriage contract... why wouldn't Hermione make him change it... he seems to want to marry her now??
He can't even allow Hermione to have any hope in their marriage... Telling her he'd be a the best father he could be... lecturing their child on the way of the world... How could he respond that way about knowing she loved him??
I can't believe that he really wondered at her attitude after they were married, he worked really hard to take any of the anticipation or joy out of being married to him...
I cried again when he left her on their wedding night, but the consummation was beautiful... as was their interaction afterwards...
Don't tell me... she's having twins!!! But, why does she seem to look so bad, not just shell shocked or something???

Author's Response: I think he believes honesty is the best policy, although he's quite crude with the things he says. I also think that deep down he feels differently, but he's just a coward to voice them or admit them to himself. Things will start changing now. This is the turning point. | |||

Sweet Harry!! I loved Hermione going to seduce him, making love to him as she wants... but why doesn't she tell him her plans specifically, se owes him that!
I cried and cried...
What kind of a proposal was that?? He didn't even want it called a proposal!!
I loved it that he went to her parents, even though he tells himself he's twisting things to manipulate them, but I think that it really is the truth, deep down...
