| Love this chapter. You manage to tell a lot in a few well chosen memories in a pensieve (a very efective way of retelling the past). I agree with you, Hermione will have to be patient as he has a lot to think about and her pestering with question would only lengthen the process. And I have the feeling this Severus will have to ask Hermione for help in order to contact his mother's family... he's too new to emotions to be able to deal with it by himself. (BTW, last review from The Succubus is in my LJ, forgot to tell you) Author's Response: Thanks, doll. glad you liked the memories. I hoped those would suffice. | Personally, I don't think that there could be TOO much background into the way Severus is. I think it is interesting what views and opinions other authors have as to why he does the things he does. I really enjoy reading this fic, just as much as The Succubus, and I think that it is mainly because it is more about healing than about finding love. | witch you have done it again...just when i am bored with no good stories coming on ashwinder, you pop up with a new update...this story is truly amazing...i love how you are portraying this side of snape...i am still waiting though for harry to get his what for...lol...keep up the good work...until next update... | Oh Southern, this was so wonderful. It made me cry like a baby and now I feel emotionally exhausted. I just love this story so much and this was truly a revealing chapter. I can’t wait to see where this goes from here. I hope they can become al his father wanted them to be if not more. Thank you for the update and for putting up with my begging. | I knw I haven't read or replied recently but I'm all caught up to this story at least. I love it, as I do all of what you write. | This is such an amazing back story for Severus and his parents. I wonder why Albus never told him about the parts he knew of. I hope Severus looks up his mom's family, take along his mom's painting. Umm....his father did eventually release the serving wench, right? Her skeleton isn't still in the house? Patience, Hermione!! Author's Response: Thanks, June. I'm quite fond of this chapter. Albus has his reasoning. We'll find that out soon enough. I think Sev will look for his mum's family, but that will take a while.
