| He can say such nice things, but then be so condescending... perhaps he'd let them remain friends so that they could still have conversations... Despite himself he is appreciating the trappings of a loving relationship!
I can't believe him trying to get into fights with her, so they can make up!... and getting jealous of the students!!

| By the way... it sounds like Hermione's pregnant... at least that's how I felt, almost the entire pregnancy... what's Snape going to think, he's already worried about being henpecked... he's going to think that she planned it to snag him! | Minerva foreshadowing… internal struggle…something isn’t letting him care… Thankfully she’s intuitive enough to realize that their interference my be causing damage…
It turns out that she was foreshadowing the not too distant future as well as the heart of the story (I’m guessing here…)… HOW COULD HE??? It started so sexy… “I do believe the word delicious comes to mind,” and he thought to bring her lunch, but he has to do something to take away from any caring act… it’s too much that he has to talk himself into being able to be nice to her, by saying that it was simply a way to get something for himself…
Those two and their games… I sure wish that voice in his head would go away… at least the one that tells him not to be weak and that she will take advantage of him…
Imagine those boys inviting Hermione to join them in their boys night out… what an insult!! Poor Hermione, she stands up for herself just when he seemingly takes a step forward and then she doubls herself!
Smart girl… telling him that it is okay for him to show her affection, because she knows that he is only doing it for her benefit… he still drives me crazy – allowing her to sit beside him in the staff room????
You really are evil… showing us a much more considerate, affectionate Snape and then having him decide that he would have to break up with her pretty soon because he was afraid that he was becoming henpecked and it was beginning to appear to others that they were in a relationship…
Author's Response: The voice, thankfully, will diminish, as he'll see it is poisoning him. He's very leery of trusting anyone. Muahahaha... he has his moments of goodness, but there are still those darker times. | |||

| Oh, I see… "It's hard for me to let go of something that belongs to me… That's what you are, my possession…" Is Slytherin for I need you and want you in my life!! Hermione is so intuitive!
She is also becoming much more adept at understanding "Slytherin"!!... "You satisfy my needs"… I will be faithful… Making him see that "I will never marry…" does not exclude an exclusive relationship… association equals relationship...
What a long way to go… you can care about something that you possess… admiring what is yours doesn't mean that you are weak… Now we just need to make the jump to… possessive equals love with all my being and can't live without…!!!
Good girl Hermione… let him make the decision as to when to go public...! It's a beginning!

P.S. I have to say, he is such a chauvinist… reference the last paragraph, re: her not talking to him in public because she was waiting for his direction and okay… he would reward her…. Grrrr… Why is he still so appealing???

Snape has such a long way to go in realizing the difference between truly being weak and actually being weak. Some girls actually have this happen to them. Pitiful, isn't it? I know I've been in a relationship similar to this. It's just rough, but things finally do give--either for better or worse. | |||

| You were right… Oh My!!! I can't believe Snape (I've noticed, I tend to call him Snape when he's behaving like this and Severus when he's affectionate, tender, loving, and intimate…)
Loved his reaction to Ron and then him going to her… you were right when you said that it takes him a while… little, by little, things happened to force him to reevaluate his feelings for her and to be truthful with himself, but not without quite a bit of help from Hermione... It seems that every time she either stands up for herself or that he realises that she is going to, he backs down...
The question is, how long will it take for him to reconcile himself to this one... her need for him to really lover her!!!
Thanks! Author's Response: It's a very slow process of change for him, but I promise that he'll love her completely by the time the story ends. I call him Snape when he's a jerk, too. LOL... I should have made Hermione a bit stronger, but I wanted to convey that sometimes love weakens us up a bit. I'm glad you noticed that he does back down. | |||

| Oh yah... I loved the truth about the unlocking panties!!! Now wouldn't that play to Severus love of power, control, not to mention, it should really tell him something about how Hermione really feels about him!
I also really loved Hermione's opening up to him the second time around, letting him know that the panties were for him, not to mention being pretty open with him about how she felt... and what he discovered when he went back into her room... Author's Response: I'm actually biting my nails right now because I know what is coming next. LOL.. Most people really enjoy it until they get to this point. I think Hermione is very open, and it's more than he probably deserves. I'm glad you've liked it thus far though! | |||

| What a roller coaster ride... will Hermione be frightened off? I sure hope not!! Will Severus allow himself to be open to her... really open to her... I think that it will take some time for him to truly allow himself to need and want her and to have a relationship with her... Loved the Draco bit... will we see Harry and Draco again, when Harry discovers that it wasn't Draco at all?
The biggest twist of all... in the end they were all manipulated by the Headmaster and Minerva!!!
Wonderful story... writing... everything... I sure am glad that I am reading this once you decided to make this a full-length fic!!! I don't think that I could have handled the suspense!!! Author's Response: I am quite happy that you are enjoying the story so far. There will be a funny bit later on with "Draco," but that's not for a while. I feel the need to warn you that for a few chapters, this story gets quite dark--as Snape is quite a jerk--but I promise it gets better again. Good luck, and I hope this doesn't run you off.
