| I'm lucky, I've just read two chapters hehehe. It was great. Don't worry, I don't feel that there is a difference of tone between the two of them.
I love the way you wrote those tiny notes, it was so sweet but bitter too. His father was not mad, he was just a man who had lost everything because he was stubborn or too proud to recognize his own mistakes.
This chapter was very good. I think you could stop here too. There's no need for an epilogue because they"are happy together. I mean who cares about Snape's family ? They never visited him, they only took the money and never tried to help him when he needed their help. It was only a one-shot, you did a great job. Really. Thanks for these lovely chapters. | i think that this is an excellent chapter. i think that an epilogue that is set a bit into the future would be an excellent way to end the story. one where it shows severus' gaining acceptance of his love for his wife and child (boy or girl?), and perhaps a reconnecting of the snape family. i completely support fics where there is no happily ever after, but in this instance, the characters are tortured enough where a happy ending would go a long way to bring some balance. besides, i want to see snape happy in this story. he deserves it! | You're right about this seeming a good place to end. I would like an epilogue to wrap up any loose ends, show that Severus does indeed come to be able to voice his love, not only for Hermione, but for their child, or even better, their children, and possibly to show a truce with Ron and Harry. | Wow, I thought this chapter was amazing. I read it twice. I felt like there was a great deal happening below the surface and it was all very emotionally powerful. This entire story has been an emotional roller coaster yet one I thoroughly enjoyed. I can’t believe I grew from that first chapter to this. If you want my feelings on whether or not you should end it then I would say you could go either way. I feel satisfied right now knowing where this has ended up. This characterization of Severus Snape was so life like that I think ending here is makes since. If you wanted to continue then I’m sure you would have to write a great deal more just to justify the characters and the story to make us believe the relationship worked out. Actually, now that I am typing this and really thinking about it I think you should end it here, with or without and epilogue. I love your work and I hate to see this end because it means the end to a story but that is just something that every reader has to except at the end of each story. You run through the book and skip sleep and meals to finish it and yet when its over you are sad to see it go. This was a fantastic read and I have warm and happy feelings towards our couple and this story. I believe that with time they will grow closer and eventually have more children and live on to have a normal life with highs and lows along the way just as everyone else does. Thank you for sharing this with all of us and I good luck deciding what you’re going to do with the story. It’s your work so just do whatever makes you happy and satisfied. I've decided that I do need to tie up some loose ends, so i will be adding some more to the story even though it was a lovely place to end it. | i love this story. i would love it if you would keep writing. I want to find out if severus ever gets the courage to actually tell her he loves her. If not that, at least try to round up the loose ends as you said. Author's Response: i'm glad you like it. i have some plans as to what to do with it. the loose ends will be taken care of. | Well I'm torn. It is a good place to end this wonderful, heartwrenching tale, but at the same time I don't want it to stop. Perhaps a nice long epilogue will settle things up nicely. | I always thought this story would end with the birth of the child. As you're saying, there are loose ends, but an epilogue could fix that.
I must say I thought Severus didn't tell Hermione about Harry's part in getting that potion because he wanted her to turn against Harry. Maybe I just missed Severus telling her?
