| Kudos for resolving the situation as realistically as might be expected -- if you had permitted Hermione to simply shake off her fall without the babies suffering any ill effects, that would have been a little too much "deus ex machina" to be plausible. Severus is also not the groveling sort, so you would probably have written yourself into a corner (so to speak) had Severus been forced to go on a campaign to win Hermione back had she decided she wanted nothing more to do with him after this. In any case, one thing in particular caught my attention at the end..."there is only a few weeks left until she can move about more freely -- how hard can this be?" In all his years, hasn't Severus learned *yet* never to ask questions like that??? I've learned to never challenge the Fates like that...they always answer without fail, and in ways that you could never have anticipated! Author's Response: thanks! | uh oh harry watch out. i think what you did with hermione not wanting to lose the other child and how she told him he made the right choice is ... well its very realistic. a mother never wants to loser a child even if it means risking her own life. that was really great. very sad about her having lost any. poor severus what a rotten way to grow up. Author's Response: i would have done the same thing (died trying to save my little one), so I think it works. Thanks so much! I have some more stuff planned to help them out. You are quite right. | I am glad that Sverus is taking his responciblities seriously - even if it just to keep hold of what he has laid claim to. I hope he will decided this sort of life is not as bad as he thought it might be. Especialy since his child is growing - - I hope he gets all gooey when he holds his child for the first time. I think that melts the hardest of hearts. Author's Response: i think it's about time as well. i'm thinking that he'll fall into the pattern of the married man and then of the father. things will get better and it will be his child that ultimately puts things into perspective for him :) | |||

| Wow. What an emotional chapter. Excellent as always. My money is on Severus. The time alone will allow them to grow closer. Of course the baby will survive (a girl? - my guess), I can't belive she would lose both of them. Author's Response: it was a bit sad, huh? poor little baby. ah well. he'll be doing better in the next few chapters. slowly but surely we'll see a gradual change. undecided on gender yet. maybe a son so he can see how father / son should be. more up soon, doll xoxo | |||

| Harry is acting like a total git, and I was glad to see that Ron had sense enough to pull Harry out before. THen again, these supposedly gwron men, fighting like boys in a school yard are both at fault for Hermione's state. 100 points from Gryffindor and Slytherin!
