| That is a great song for Severus to drink himself into stupidity to...Excellent song. Finally got around to reading this story and am loving it. | I have been keeping up with this story for awhile and I finally brought myself to review for it. First off, I must congratulate you on your amazing plot and character development. I am glad that Severus is not outright lusting after Hermione, because-although this may be the most realistic of routes- I am a romantic and think that there needs to be progression, if only some. I love Severus! You have done an amazing job of keeping him in character, while allowing realistic changes. Crackers for you! I adore Turpin and wish that my old ferrets could have talked. Additional characters-Harry, Ron, and Draco- are developed well and you have a great job of keeping the focus on Hermione and Severus' roles while keeping the others within sight.

Raven Author's Response: Thank you so much! I have to admit, I was a bit worried about writing a story that takes place at Hogwarts. So many people! It was no accident that I "cheated" in my first fic and sepparated them from everyone with an obvious plot device! *giggle* And as this fic is predominately about Hermione and Severus, I didn't want to either get to distracted with the other characters or have my readers thinking "what ever happened to so-and-so?" I'm so glad you think I am walking that line reasonably well. My fiance and I have 2 pet ferrets, so I suppose it was inevitable that I write a jarvey, glad you are getting a kick out of him! Lol, I worry that my Severus is a bit OC, but I have done my best to back up my choices; glad you like him! Thank you for such a kind and thoughtful review; you've made my day! :) | |||

| Do you know, dear Pooka, that reviewing your story is nearly as much a pleasure as reading it? Merry Christmas, War is Over, anyway. So, to get to the point - I really liked your idea of Snape's boggart. And I like DM/HP as a secondary pairing. It's fun. Just lately I had a vivid discussion about Harry being Hetero/Homosexual during a Polish lesson - it began during a break when I mentioned that I liked HP/DM. A girl I sit with answered that HP can't be gay, and my best friend Ewelina answered that yes, he is, but he should be with Severus. In result, my desk-partner spent half of the lesson whispering 'HP is hetero' to me whenever the teacher didn't look. Finally, she took a large sheet of paper, wrote "Harry Potter is Hetero" and put it on the blackboard in front of me . I whispered, "put it down, the teacher will see," and then the teacher looked at it indeed. She asked, amazed: "And why shouldn't he be?" and a few girls who heard the discussion answered, "Because Nelly said so!" I was lucky the teacher was in a good mood that day, because she merely said that I was a pervert and continued with the lesson. :) Yes, people are definitely strange here. But back to the reviewing - I know you have forewarned us that you had brought Black back from the dead, but still... I was so sure I was done with the bastard, and I was wrong ;) I must admit that I really like the movie Sirius, but not the book Sirius. Strange me - I just hate him for being so evil towards Severus (and I hate movie Lupin. He is not Lupin, it's some evil impersonation. Lupin should look like a man starving, and not wear some ridiculous mustache... And be more wolf-like, all in all.) But he does behave like Sirius - as in, makes a total asshole of himself and hasn't yet grown up. And Turpin, the rascal, is terrific. Just terrific. The other part I really liked was the conversation Harry had with Ron - Ron's logical, chess-like opinions. But it's getting late and I need to do some house chores :( so... Greetings from Poland, Novinha alias Nelly Author's Response: *gigglegigglegiggle* I can just see you and your mates sitting in class and discussing whether or not fictional Harry Potter is gay! You are so lucky your teacher isn't Snape-like, or you would have been scrubbing cauldrons until the end of time! Harry/Draco is a pretty common pairing in slash HP fanfic, and one that I've read a bit of, so using that pairing made sense to me. Mostly I read Snape/other cannon, but I've read a bit of HP/DM. I'm glad you liked Snape's boggart. I was pleased with how that chapter came out. I could have used dead Hermione, but that seemed a bit too obvious to me. Not to mention that it would have been jumping the gun a bit plot-wise. I have a love/hate relationship with Sirius' character, in both book and film. There are things I like about him, but he is a complete wanker on occasion. I brought him back as a blatant plot device, and because he's fun to play with. I don't care for any of the marauders really, except for Lupin. I'm afraid I adore the movie Lupin. I've seen that actor's work before, and I think he's brilliant. I also think he's very handsome, but I suppose that is beside the point. Thanks Nelly, for another kind and thought filled review! Hope you had a happy holiday! :) | |||

| ROTFL!! "sixty-seven," indeed! How nice that he finally gave *her* one! And poor Moody... it's so hard for him to admit he trusts Snape, what with him being an auror and Snape an ex-Death Eater. I'm glad Hermione kept their conversation private. And Turpin! That rascal!!! If he sires kids can I have one? I love him and want a Turpin of my own! "Chelpy fuckhead!" And Snape lets him say things like that to him! To quote DM, Pooka "rocks the socks!" Author's Response: *giggle* Jade thinks I 'rock the socks'! I can't imagine a nicer compliment!
