| Ah...I've finally gotten around to this, love. Sorry it's taken me so long...new boyfriend...falling in love...leaves little time for anything else. Wow, what a great couple of chapters here! So Snape likes spicy food, eh? I wonder what else he likes that's spicy *wink wink nudge nudge* The firewalker sounds like a great character so far, and I love how you pepper her sentences with her own sayings. That last line is beautiful, too. Poor Hermione, she must be mortified. *evil laugh* Okay, so i'm making this review a little longer to make up for not reviewing sooner, and not reviewing the last chapter. I really love your writing, though, as you know well, and I'm biting my fingernails into little bloody stumps until you get the next one posted. | I just started reading your story because someone recommended it. (I am new to Ashwinder) I have to tell you that so far it is off to one of the most creative starts I have ever read. You did a brilliant job of letting us see into Hermione’s thoughts and feelings. The salamander was very intriguing and mysterious, just perfect for the magical world where you never know what can happen next! Snape’s little ferret familiar Turpin is funny beyond belief. I am so glad I found your story, and will finish it as soon as I can. Then I guess I’ll have to go read your other stories! If your writing is any indication of the general quality of work on Ashwinder, I may never go back to ff.net again. Please keep up with this wonderful story, as your writing style is engaging and entertaining to read. Author's Response: I am so glad you are enjoying my story! I have only been writing for a few months, and it means a great deal to me to get such kind feedback. I'm glad you've stumbled across Ashwinder as well. In my opinion, SycophantHex is the best site of its kind; that's why it's the only place I post my stories. They are quite picky about their quality control, so you'll never find a story that's so full of gramatical errors that it's practically unreadable. | I'm gonna miss Andrene, she was funny. Will she be visiting Hogwarts again at any point? I loved the whole 'Grindsman' thing, I will definately have to add that to my vocabulary (though personally I like 'Stevedore' ;-) ). Oh, and bonus points for including Turpin in the chapter! Author's Response: I'm so glad you got a kick out of Andrene, she was fun to write. I'm afraid I always intended to keep her role small in this fic, I'm still a bit wary of trying to write OCs. | What is it with you and penning such fantastic stories? You just seem to spew brilliance forth. I find it more than a bit disconcerting that your dialogue sparkles more than almost any other read available and that it certainly tops all of the movies that I've seen in the past two years. You seem to have a gift of your own, thankfully you haven't had to endure all that Hermione's had to in order to get a grip on it, but then perhaps it would have been nice to have been cuddled by Severus. I shall certainly have trouble sleeping now but it was most definitely worth it, my dear.
