I don't know why but i've given Turpin an Irish accent! V. strange

Author's Response: Lol, well, I do think his "voice" in my head is a bit odd, so perhaps you are quite correct! :)

I was just wondering in what context you use the word 'chuffer' simply because i know you're american and perhaps not quite aware what chuffed means here... If you're chuffed it means you're very happy. something like chuffing nora is a good suprise. I'm figuring due to the rest of the sentence structure that its not meant to be a good thing, however in the UK the would chuffer in this sort of use would promote that someones made someone happy. just to let you know.

Author's Response: This poor Yank does the best she can, yes she does. I am completely dependent on my "Dictionary of British Slang" which says that while Chuffed means exactly what you say, "chuffing" is and adj. equivalent to "fucking" as in "you fucking/chuffing bastard!" I'm quite sure that the dictionary souldn't possibly get all the usages correct, but it's the best resource I've got. Quite frankly, if chuffing is the only usage I'm mucked up horribly, I'd have to say I'm quite chuffed by my progress! Thanks for the head's up, darlin'. I think I'll let it stand as is for the time being, and just hope the poor brits who read my fic forgive me for being born on the wrong side of the pond for Potterverse. :)

Plaidpooka, Why is it that I always seem to be reading your stories around midnight? Yeesh. You did a fantabulous job on this chapter. I think I vaguely remember you saying it was going to be another bridge chapter, but this was good. Very good. With much action. And of course, I'm going to stay in my wonderful denial of Snape not being insane. Nope. Didn't happen. He is spiritually, positively, undenialbly, and reliably sane. I knew I've been watching the Wizard of Oz too often with those wittle munchkins. But, like I said, you wouldn't do that to us... would you? Your description of Azkaban was dead on for me, well done in getting me almost as disgusted and horrified as Hermione with the place. I didn't think before how truly horrible it would be to be imprisoned there. Sirius helping with the rescue mission was also a really smart idea. I was sort of slow on the uptake while reading this tonight, so while I was thinking, "Hermione could go in because she's able to block her emotions," She says that's exactly what she'll do. And then I was thinking it'd be helpful for Sirius to go, since he escaped himself, and lo and behold, he does! Usually I guess ahead of time what will happen and don't get so much enjoyment out of it. But instead of me being slow tonight I'll attribute it to your wonderful writing. Alright, please get the next chapter out, I know you wouldn't treat your faithful readers so abominably ill (sorry, been reading too much Jane Austen as well), by leaving Severus insane, or if he is in the first place. You left it off to soon... hmmm... Well, I'll ponder until the next chapter when I actually find out. Until next time, your faithful reviewer.

Author's Response: Wow! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'll have to bite my tongue about Severus' situation, but i assure you I won't let anything permanent happen to him! I also admit that I brought Sirius back just for this rescue scene, and I hope I've worked him in well enough that it wasn't too awful obvious! He is such fun to play with! I promise that I'll try to get the next chapter finished as soon as possible, I know folks are waiting. And I must tell you that I absolutely adore Austen, so please emulate her at will, if it pleases you! Thanks darlin', for the sweet review! :)

Gaah! Well, here's to hoping that he thinks she's someone appearing as Hermione. ::sigh:: I do love this story. Lead on, MacDuff!

Author's Response: Thanks darlin'! I'm so glad you like it! I do wish I could remember Macbeth's next line, but I am so drawing a blank! :)

Author's Response: Thank you my dear! More as soon as I can finish the blasted chapter! :)

Good Lord, wow, oh my goodness (and other words to express amazement) I've spent the last day or so reading this story and around about chapter six I was making my mind up about what I'd say for my review. Reading this latest chapter has changed it somewhat though, and I really don't know what to say. The word astounding seems to be rattling around in my head, although I don't really know in what context, I think it's more a case of me being astounded by the pace and developments of the last couple of chapters, and the skills you've seemed to employ to make them so flipping good!! I only hope that Snape's got enough happy memories from the last few months to see him through, he does seem to have slipped into lunacy, but hopefully there's more to it than it seems. This is a truly brilliant fic (and one I'm ashamed to say I'd probably never have come across if a friend hadn't highly recommended it) I really can't wait to read more, and will hopefully give a more coherent review (the last chapter's been pretty shocking and reading all afternoon has made me a bit dim)

Author's Response: Are you kidding? You've just said all sorts of lovely things about my fic and you're worried about being incoherant? Well, if this is the kind of review I can expect from incoherency, I say bring it on! Not only have you said lovely things, but you also said that someone reccomended it to you! Really? Cool! This noobie writer couldn't be more pleased! You are right in thinking that there might be a bit more going on, by the way. And I certainly hope that the rest of my fic doesn't dissapoint. Thank you so very much, both for reading, and taking the time to review! :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you have enjoyed it, and Turpin, so far. Hopefully I will be able to update before too awful long. :)
