aww underneath it all, snape's a softy. at least where cute little animals are concerned. :) can't wait for another update...makes me jealous knowing that your beta has two full chapters to get through.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you like it so far! Beta and I have been managing to update twice a week, I'm hoping we can keep it up. :)

Hey, I really like your story. I can`t wait to see, what`s in the next chapters. I only got one question. What means the word jarvey? I looked it up in every dictionary I have ( I`m german) but can`t find it. Would be nice if you`d tell me. And...Keep up with your story. cya

Author's Response: I'm not surprised you couldn't find Jarvey in the dictionary as I think JK Rowling made it up. You can find it on the Lexicon site. That is where I pulled the following quote: "Resembling an overgrown ferret, the Jarvey is one of the few beasts that can actually talk. Its speech, however, consists entirely of rude phrases and insults. Jarveys chase gnomes" :)

I know what you mean about the reviews, though you shouldn't worry. Great original story and I absolutely LOVE Turpin. Who was his previous owner? Bellatrix? Great job as always! ~Lisa

Author's Response: I never really decided who Turpin's original owner was. I'm not sure Snape knows or cares, hex first, ask questions later and all that. *snicker* Thanks for the review, Lisa. I'm glad you're enjoying it! :)

*goes off in search of a salamander so she can "fly at" Severus too* A good bridging chapter. Not too boring, but not too busy either (what with meeting Turpin and all!). Seems that Hermione is discovering that Potions Masters have layers, just like ogres and onions. :D

Author's Response: Lol, like onions and ogres indeed! Thanks Tarah! :)

Hermione waited until Severus had finally fallen asleep. Yes she had promised that she wouldn't let Harry, Ron or Lupin rifle through Professor Snape's drawers but she had said nothing about not allowing herself the oppurtunity to feel him out, 'so to speak'. Tip-toeing very, very quietly to the side of his enormous 4-poster, 'I wonder is he compensating for something', she thought as her hand slipped under the covers... Rifling his drawers she found to her immense relief ( ;) ) that he indeed was not compensating for anything..... Jeanette

Author's Response: I admit, I slipped those lines in on purpose simply because I love the images they bring up! I especially like when he practically gives Hermione permision to make herself at home in his drawers! I wouldn't mind doing that myself, now that I think on it! :)

BWAHAHA! I gotta admit, I saw that last bit coming a mile off! My toes were curling in unequaled delight throughout this chapter, Pook m'dear! Well worth the two week wait! My favourite sentence - "I had a trying time with Madame Pomfrey and then Professor Snape burst in like a snarky knight in black wool armor." Comedy gold, right there! XD I can hardly wait to see how this progresses. *rubs hands together in devious glee*

Author's Response: *chortle* I'm not surprised you saw that last bit coming, clever girl! Once again you have picked out my favorite line as well. I'm updating tonight, and I think you will get a big kick out of the next chapter. ;)

*crows in absolute delight!* Severus was quite convinced that he could spend the rest of his days like that blasted Muggle saint Mother Theresa, then give his life to save a train-full of infants from fiery death, and the cynical Auror would stand at his funeral and proclaim “Once a Death Eater, always a Death Eater.” And GO ALBUS! WOOTWOOT! *skips to next chapter*

Author's Response: Lol, I'm so glad you liked that bit. I think you're the first person to mention it, and I was rather fond of it myself. Thanks Tarah! :)
