| Well, that was fun! No, I really mean it. I rarely read such a delicious argument scene.
I could just imagine Snape saying and thinking all these things. And Hermione's last line was great. (may be I have dark scense of humor, but it made me giggle). I wish, i could be a fly on the wall to see Severus crashing his room...hm, knowing my luck, i would probably get smashed with one of the furniture, though :)
So, now, will dear Sevvie go after Hermione for once? After all, she was the one to confess her feelings, she went to Azkaban to get him...It's his turn, er? Will Hermione try to probe his feelings? Oh, can't wait for the next chapter. Thank you! And I hope you're feeling better. Author's Response: I'm so glad you got a kick out of the arguement! Will Severus go after her...er...well...not exactly. He is quite stubborn and now he's quite furious as well. *giggle* Hermione is both of those things as well, but I promise they will work it out before too long! | Two more things. Just me's review, below, rings true. I am a Capricorn, born on the 9th also (I'm too cool, huh? :^0)... and just me is not too far off. HOWEVER- just like Severus- bust through those layers and you'll have the most passionate lover you can imagine.
Haha, ok, another bit of silliness- i just now noticed the title. Dave Matthews fan? He's born on the 9th of January, too. My head is full of useless trivia. Sorry for a double review, but at least I get to give you another 10! Author's Response: YES! DMB fan! I had no idea his B-day was also the ninth, how cool is that! There is one bit in that song which has always made me think of Severus, but I'm not about to try to write a song-fic. It's "Look at us spinning out in the madness of a roller-coaster. You know you went of like a devil, in a church, in the middle of a crowded room." Lol, well, the room may not have been crowded, but he did rather explode. | At the risk of seeming silly-SUH-WEET! I don't know when I've ever welcomed the ol' corruptus interruptus Severus Snape style more. I think we all agree, here, that this "intervention for her own good" is something a man like Severus would easily choose, especially in the stories where Hermione is so young. Ususally, I roll my eyes, and think-ach! here we go again... But NOT this time. It was well written, well thought out, and the argument blossomed so naturally (with this, your latest take, on Severus and Hermione), it was like watching reality unfold. (with the added bonus of hearing the voices in the participant's heads ;^) I think it was put in for plausible reasons-here must be a way we both identify/sympathize with Severus' character- for I can really get with "thinking too much".
In any case, this bit of tension will really ratchet up the tartness factor on the 'ol lemons, hmm? (rubs her hands gleefully in anticipation) I nearly envy you writing it. Except I suck, so I read. So, here's to full-out screaming lemony goodness! Just hurry, please.... ;^P Author's Response: Wow! Thanks for taking the time to leave such a thought filled review! When I went to write this fic, I wanted to write an all out Spy!Severus, who's nastiness was mostly show due to his spying. I still wanted him Slytherin, mind you, but also honorable and good hearted. However, I didn't want to make him so namby-pamby OOC that folks didn't even recognise him! So I made him damned bloody stubborn to try to combat that. This arguement was part of my plotline from day one. I felt strongly about Severus being the kind of man who would try to tell Hermione what to do. And I do not see Hermione standing for that! So this chapter was important to me, and it was never meant solely to put off the lemony goodness. (Gods know there have been times I wanted to yell at the stubborn things myself 'So do it already!') I'm so glad that this chapter made sense to you, and I got my point across! Thanks for the feedback! :) | |||

| Oh, you evil, evil author;) Yet another well written chapter. I can absolutely see canon!Snape having those same thought processes. I think you captured the emotions of both quite well. I especially liked Hermione's last line: "If you do die, I wonder if you’ll notice the difference.” Very insightful. Keep up the good work and update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you thought Snape's motivation made sense, it made sense to me but I was a bit worried that I hadn't backed it up enough. And I think that last line of Hermione's is my favorite line of this chapter. It's pretty rough, coming from Hermione, but I thought that showed just how upset and furious the normally practical girl was. Glad you liked it! :) | |||

| At the end of the last chapter, your cliffhanger had me thinking that Hermoine was going to be facing a bevvy of friends waiting to chastise/discourage/harangue her about going after the Greasy Git. You fooled me by giving Snape a case of cold feet. You're right. She should of just climbed in bed with him right then while she had him at her mercy. Though a 17 year old might not realize just how insecure a guy with Snape's history would be. Nicely done! Author's Response: I think you hit the nail right on the head! Hermione is very level headed, but she is young. After the rescue I'm sure she would have just assumed all was well and their relationship would escalate. She's not quite used to how stubborn a man Severus is. Luckily for him, Hermione is stubborn as well. Thanks for the kind review! :) | |||

| Hurray for updates! Even evil, lemonless updates are better than no updates at all. I was worried that Hermione would unleash her lust/love emotions all over Snape, but I’m glad she didn’t; that would have been too much like rape in my opinion. I hope Hermione is able to keep up her shields, otherwise all of Hogwarts is in for quite the emotional ride. I also hope Turpin can talk some sense into his master. Maybe Hermione should consult Andrene for advice (that way we get to meet her and her delightful patios again!). Looking forward to updates, and I hope you're feeling better soon. Author's Response: I agree, I don't think Hermione would ever use her projection for such a thing, she's a Gryff, not a Slytherin! That would be much more Severus' style; lol! Hermione doesn't project unless she's trying to do so on purpose, though I do plan to have a bit of fun with that in the next chappie, it will only be a small bit. I'm sure Turpin will have something to say to Severus on the matter, but I'm afraid we won't hear from Andrene again until the end of the tale. I could see Hermione asking her a question about her gift, but not what is basically "boyfriend advice." Pity, I'm sure Andrene would have some words of wisom for her if she did ask.
