| Excellent development of Snape's character! I *think* that the salamander's curse is making Hermione pick up on other people's feelings - not just present, but probably past as well since she is sometimes feeling emotions that the people present in the room are not expressing or when there are no people in the room (like her dorm). As if the walls could soak up emotions and she could wring 'em out! Author's Response: You are definately on the right track. Clever girl! :) | |||

| The title make's sense with this chapter, since it appears the salamander 'cursed' her with her emotional state… I have a feeling it will increase Hermione’s empathy to the people around her, which would help explain the emotional protectiveness she felt to Severus… Good job so far, update soon.
