| Effect can only be used as a verb in very few instances.. as in 'to effect a change'.. to say that they are both equally affected means that they have both had an effect equally produced upon them or they have both experienced the same level of emotional reaction... But as the author, if you think you're right, then go with it. I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter. And may I say how fabulous it is that you respond to reviews? In my experience, very few authors do. *scampers off to have Fuck Virgins! t-shirts printed up* Author's Response: I can't help but respond to reviews! I figure, if folks are kind enough to take a moment to do it, the least I can do is thank them! I'll have to think about the whole effected affected thing. I'm afraid I still think of a couple of possers putting on an act when I read the phrase "They were both equally affected" *snicker* "I didn't like the wedding chapels in Vegas.
