| ok, I went over the entire hp lexicon bestiary, and my best guess is a jarvey. as it is one of the few talking animals and is often harsh in words. :) Am I right, now, am I? wiehoe! | Okay, let me say this first. This is the best Harry Potter fanfiction I have read in my entire life. And I've been reading fanfiction since I was like . . . 12. . and now I'm 18. Great great great great job! The way in which you have Hermione save Snape- Genius! And I loved how you didn't elaborate on sexual tension between the two until much later on. It's very different then what I'm used to reading. And I loved it. This is so unbelievably good! I can't even begin to express my love for this story. The plot works so well and is genius! The characters are perfectly 'in character'. And the love between Hermione and Snape is so strong that it makes the story even more heart-fluttering, not to mention heart-wrenching too now that war is upon them. So good. I congratulate you on a beautiful story and I hope you update very soon. Author's Response: Wow! A writer simply can't get a sweeter review than that! I know what you mean about waiting a bit before the sexual tention builds. Now, I love reading PWP, but sometimes a little lead in time is nice as well. My Severus is too nice I think, but I do so love giving him reason to be a better man than he is in the books. | ok. so. Turpin means thunder-finn. he despies flies. it must be magical as it talks. it could be a parrot, but they only repeat things...that's all I found out for the moment. Author's Response: Yes, Turpin is magical. I didn't know the meaning of the name Turpin, but I will give you the hint that he's named after someone. You may not have come across what Turpin is, while JKR did create his kind, they are not in the 5 HP books. :) | |||

| I just couldn't let another chapter go by without finally getting around to reviewing. This is one of my favorite stories. I've loved every minute of it so far. Your writing style is just lovely. But my absolute favorite part of this fic is Turpin. What a rollercoaster of emotions he has provided! I've laughed uproariously at him (his language), I've cried over him (when he was so scared that Severus was gone), and I've wanted to cuddle him (anytime). You certainly have a talent for creating such characters (yes, I loved Bob too).
I will be sorry to see this story end, but I'll be anxiously awaiting other work from you. You're an excellent writer. Oh, by the way, I liked your assessment in this chapter of the number of Death Eaters and Order members and the likely way the so-called "Final Battle" will play out. It seems quite sensible to me. Author's Response: What a sweet review! I confess, I am completely in love with Turpin myself. He's an edearing little potty mouth! Thank you for your kind words. As far as my assessment of Order members, etc, I relied heavily on the Lexicon for information, as well as what I remember from the books. A smallish scaled battle seems more likely than a full frontal assault on Hogwarts to me. But we won't know for sure until JKR gets there! Thanks for the kind review! :) | |||

| I have read up to and including the latest update.. and I had the sudden desire to comment on the boggart scene.. so I've just spent what seems like forfriggingever going through chapter by chapter (and, of course, silly easily-distracted me thought "oh look something shiny" and read the chapters over again!) Snape's relationship with Albus must be very, very dear to him for that to be his boggart. I wonder if the boggart will be Hermione's corpse, if he should encounter another one in this story. I think seeing the bloody, battered corpse of one of your closest friends is the scariest thing imaginable. And I love the way Lupin stepped in to help. I love Lupin. Author's Response: You know, I had considered using Hermione for Snape's boggart, but I thought it was too much for that early in the story. He's got all kinds of reason to fear Albus' death, not only because I think he cares for Albus, but also because of the war with Voldemort. I love Lupin too! He's so kind, and yet very strong and brave. Next to Severus, I think he's the most interesting character in the books. Thanks for the thought filled review! I love hearing what folks think! :) | |||
