| I'm really enjoying this story. I like Andrene, although like Snape I only understand about half of what she says *grin*. I'm eager to see where this story goes... Author's Response: Lol! | Me thinks Hermione is already falling for her porfessor. And her gift as an Empath will speed the relationship me thinks... Will we see our salamander friend again? | Great chapter Pooka! You did a wonderful job with Andrene's voice. And I could just see Turpin scampering away all happy that he now knew how to curse in Jamaican LOL. Thank's for getting this to us, despite your PWP distraction (which was most welcomed btw). I'm curious to see just how Hermione's gift can help them with the war. I have a feeling Voldemort is in store for some surprises. Author's Response: Thank you, sweet-girl! | "Coo pon him"?? Pook, I am not only addicted to your stories, but now I also have to go look up Rasta/Patois dictionaries to enable my addiction! You couldn't just say "Look at him", could you....nope, why be ordinary and use "tourist English"! Say "ghost" instead of "duppy"? Hah! Too easy! I'll admit, the picture of winjy Severus as Boops and Hermione as Boopsie his "kept woman" sounds verrrry amusing. I'm glad Turpin appeared, although I don't want to think of him yelling "bumbo clot" and having someone like Draco figure out what it means and then USING Turpin as a “bumbo clot”. But I loved the poetic language you used in this chapter, which you don't often share with us: "The Firewalker felt like the sun rising on a dark, cold morning to shine and warm the world." Gorgeous! Okay, so "dogheart" and "hard-eared" are also kind of poetic in a strange way.... Hey, if Hermione can project feelings onto others, could she project "cuddliness" on Severus so that he wants to snuggle with her? And did Andrene get her gift by being zapped by a Salamander? Can the gift work even against an Occlumens? Do you know your reviewers are addicted to your comments? Author's Response: *gigglegigglegiggle* I know, my Slytherin is showing with all those bits of Patois. But I figured the story was understandable without a Patois/English dictionary, and those who were intrigued could look it up their own selves! At least I gave Andrene 'tourist English', I could have been ever so much more evil. *smirk* Of course, now that you have defined everything in your review, it saves me the trouble of doing so. *giggle* Hermione projecting "cuddliness"! Now that is a brilliant idea indeed, June! As the Hogwarts staff refer to Andrene in an earlier chapter as 'some kind of Salamander expert' I'd have to say she recieved the gift in the same fashion as Hermione. And I am assuming for this story that while Occlumency keeps folks from reading their thoughts, it don't do a dang thing about keeping folks from reading your feelings. Though I imagine Severus isn't particularly easy to read, but more of that in a couple chapters, :x. Thanks for the review, June! Your comments always brighten my day! :) | |||
