| 29-11-2006 16:39 Fantastic intro. I haven't been in London either, but the description of destruction and decay are very apt. I like how with the tatoos, Snape is neither friend nor family; however, the very existence of the markings further jeopardizes her existence. The description of Lucius's uniform is very well done. Of course, she would be noticing shoes, and clothing up to the chest, and only glimpses of faces, as those are the only area she would be able to raise her eyes to. I'm a bit confused on the differences between Level I and Level II (Mudbloods? Halfbloods?) and what level the guards would be, but I'm sure I'll find out in future chapters. Good job making the shift from Hermione's past to her current state. I take it that in this story, Malfoy has blue eyes, or is it Lestrange who has blue eyes? (Canon has the Malfoy men with grey eyes.) Question on story line: "...Malfoy finally dropped Hermione’s hand as if burnt. " When did he take her hand? It's a bit of a mystery why the Regent and his associate would be in such as low place as the the kitchen, but I'm sure that mystery will be solved in future chapters. | |||

| Ahh! I absolutely love this story so far! I've been reading it straight through for the past few hours and it has definitely been worth it! I love your plot and your characteriations are spot on. Although I wish there was some more Hermione-Snape romantic type interaction, it's still fabulously wonderful. I can't wait to see how they get out and what happens next! Update quickly! | I love this story. I would go vote but I have no idea where. The intrigue and tension is interesting and so is all of the plot twists and such like. The secrets that permeate your story are starting to drive me batty however. Your story is a refreshing change from plotless wonders that seem to infest all fanfiction. This review probably isn't very well done but I wanted to tell you I enjoyed your story immensely and look forward to reading any later instalments. | |||

| This story is really very intriguing, exciting, captivating and always keeps me wondering how the hell they are going to get out of this one! Your characters are authentic, most of all Snape who does have strength and power but he is also vulnerable and quite mysterious and I particularly like that. He went through a lot and it shows. Hermione is still a very young woman, but she's seen too much to be as naive as she should be at her age. You give her edges and a nice mix of matureness and unwillingness to follow the rational at times. I'm not sure about their relationship as you put in Frienship but not Romance but you have those scenes interspersed where I get the feeling something is developing slowly. Or is it just wishful thinking? :-) However, I'm also wondering what is going on with Ginny? You hinted at something there. She is definitely creepy.

| This chapter (like the whole story I just discovered and read so far) is very intense and very well written. I just can't stop reading!
I wonder what Hermione is thinking though. She has probably no experience with sex (as the scene with the unicorn shows), but I don't believe for one second that Severus betrayed the Order just for sex with Bellatrix and pain inflicted upon his back. He has endured so much more torture and never betrayed the Order before. So what is really behind all this? As I see from the title he is the man who sold the world but for what reason? It is so sad to see him breaking down, but it gives his character a very human touch and a vulnerability that makes it so believable. | Interesting developments...I likewise have been going through this story off and on for about three days and I'm eagerly awaiting more but understand if you can't churn it out super duper fast. | Fantastic piece. I have been slowly making my way through for the past three days, in between doing stuff, and I've been really enjoying this read. The house elf is charming- congratulations for introducing a character only ever-so-briefly mentioned in GoF, Gregorovich is a great character. Still curious about Snape- and maybe Ginny? There was a hint of something in there that sparked my curiosity. Not sure what to think of Ginny, really, hoping we get some explanation/ expounding on that subject. All around, great fun, really enjoying this- wonderful post-apocalyptic Voldemort-in-power story. Author's Response: Oh, yes, Ginny will be huge. I promise. | |||
