WHoops... accidentally double-clicked my last. Either way, this deserves many reviews. Considering the VE celebrations going on right now across the pond, this chapter's timing is rather significant. I was on tenterhooks the whole time, and cannot wait for more. ~Kye
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Actually, VE celebrations are going on in Canada right now as well. My boyfriend is in the Army, so I get to go to all sorts of neat things like tattoos. More to come soon!

Wow. Wow. I love this. You do a phenomenal job evoking the post-apocalyptic atmosphere - the decay, the fear, the brutishness of surviving. I'd love to know what happened to our other favorite characters but I suspect all that will come with time. Hope the next chapter gets posted soon!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I hope to bring in other characters as chapters progress (whether we just learn what happened to them or if some of them actually show up).

I'm completely hooked on this. I could have sworn it was Snape following her.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I have laced my html formatting with crack.

Excellent premise. I love this whole segragated society you have built here, almost like the Jews during WWII or the blacks in South Africa during the Apartheid. It's very dark and depressing, especially as you go into such detail about the shape of London and that Britain was not the only country living in such circumstances.
I also liked that despite everything Hermione has still retained her spirit. The tattoo she has was a great touch, it shows her grief more than just actually seeing her cry. I'm definitely interested to find out where Severus is.
Just one little Brit-pick. We don't have valedictorians in our schools, in fact, I'm not even sure what they do exactly except it's something to do with graduation. Other than that, you definitely have a good handle on London.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, especially the Brit-pick. I couldn't find out what the equivalent of "valedictorian" was (it may be honours or something) but I'm glad my point got across. If anyone were to tell me what the term actually is, I can change it.

What an amazing opening chapter. Actually, the title caught me, I was thinking it might have been something Heinleinesque 'The Man who Sold the Moon' sort of story. But, it brought me in and though not what expected, is excellent. The descriptive writing, the feel of a war torn London, and of the Death Eaters in charge so stark. Putting this in favourites. Best of luck to you on the rest of the story, I will be reading. :-)
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'm really glad you like it. I'm a huge closet-fan of "You Can't Have One Without the Other", so a review from you is awesome...I guess I should start reviewing your chapters too :)

This has a very WWII Nazi-controled Europe feel to it. Were you intending to do that? I rather like it, and I have a very good feeling about this story. I look forward to more of this intriguing piece. ~Kye
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Yes, I was going for the WWII Nazi Germany feel (especially since the fascism--hey, that word isn't in my lousy dictionary!--in the books runs rampant). I hope the rest of the story lives up!
