Author's Response: More to come, soon. Soon the rebellion will be crushed and young Skywalker will be one of us.

Wonderful update. The wait was no problem. I hope all is well in the real life world of Meggory :)

Author's Response: Everything's well and good, just super busy. This is my last week of full-time work before I go back to university (yay, last year! Hah!)

how uncharacteristic of snape to give her a piggy back ride...i liked that part. it was amusing. this was a good chapter, but poor hermione suffered through a lot of abuse. okay, i'm making a guess that the woman is mcgonagall or somebody else hermione knows. i don't know, i'm kinda out of ideas. i'll just have to wait until the next one. thanks for updating, and do update as soon as you can get away from your real boring life. *grins* -The Grim

Author's Response: Heh, yeah, get away from real life. If only. I liked the piggy back ride. It was funny because it was Snape, but it was sweet because he's obviously worried about her health and concussion and such.

well after all she was the driver and vasly was in the backseat, so in all practicality she should be more hurt, especially since she was turning left, a big hermione crunch. great chapter by the way can't wait for more

Author's Response: Yeah, and all she had was a lousy seatbelt to save her. It's amazing she didn't crack her skull on the steering wheel and kill herself. Silly wizards.

AHHHHH!!!!!! I want more! Ok, I am breathing better... What an evil cliffie! I mean, here I was, all excited with the piggy back ride, and then a mysterious woman with Hagrid's dog attacks Hermione and we don't even get told who it is? Alright, so the chapter was brilliant (as always). Still, I NEED more! ;)

Author's Response: Hee, I'm glad you liked the piggy back ride. That was my favourite part....

One more quick comment, I love the David Bowie song that you named this story after -- will be interesting to find out just who it is that sold the world. Voldemort? Snape? And whatever happened to Dumbledore and Harry -- I may have missed something, but I don't remember reading about their fate, other than they are on Hermione's arm, if I remember correctly...

Author's Response: No, as for those on Hermione's arm, we only know part of the score: -Ron was killed at the Battle of Hogsmeade -Charlie, Molly and Arthur Weasley were killed protecting Penelope Clearwater at the Battle of Hogsmeade -Remus (Secret Keeper for the Order) and his lover Tonks were tortured for information and the Secret before being killed and strung up in front of the Order's headquarters -Severus Snape was believed to be killed at the Battle of Diagon Alley, the final and decisive battle in which Voldemort obliterated the Order and began to conquer London.

I love this story, your writing style is so evocative. All the grays and blacks and dusty drab colors of the ghetto came to life and I could see the room where Severus was lurking as a wraith.

I was ready to smack Severus up side the head, too when he seemingly deserted Hermione to her fate. Fortunately Percy "unpratted" himself long enough to let her go.

I am really looking forward to reading more of this story. Please update soon!

Author's Response: Aw, poor Severus. Everyone's mad at him until he reminds them that Hermione was the one who told him not to "rescue" her. Of course, the whole checkpoint thing probably wasn't what she had in mind. Thanks for the review!
