i feel ripped off. Sorry but i do. I get to the end of the last chapter, not knowing it was the last chapter, and tried to go to the next one and find out that's it! I need closure. Did u get bored with it? I mean it. was a fantastic story up until the end. I only give it a 1 because i am soo disappointed. |

Seriously, you're going to leave it there? This is one of the best fanfics but damn... Well... I just hope your other fics (if you have them) have different sorts of endings. I agree with the others that this one feels unfinished. At the same time...as I write that, I sort of like it the way it is. Let the reader finish it, you've told us what everyone will do. |

Heheh, finding my country mentioned in a fanfic is a very pleasant surprise even if it is just a fleeting mention... :) I hope Draco enjoys it :) |

I think your story is incredible, and the realist in me relishes the stark cruelty of Hermione's surroundings. Amazing writing, horrifying yet brilliant interpretation of war. |

I really loved the story. The feel of it was very entrancing. Not a big fan of the ending, as I actually had moved my mouse to click to next chapter, only to be startled into realizing it was over. /sad |

Overall, this was a very well-written tale that sucked me in and kept me guessing. The detail that you put into the description of London under Deatheater rule was very believable, as was the situation in Hogsmeade and Hogwarts, and the atmosphere of distrust interspersed with moments of hope made for a very enjoyable time of reading for me.
Well, except for the last bit in Belgium. It wasn't the actions of the characters nor the abruptness of the ending that disappointed me, but in the way you worded it. I don't have a problem with Hermione disappearing into a crowd after presumably poisoning nuclear scientist whose very existence could mean the end of life for all, Wizards and Muggles, but it seem that the quality of the descriptive text with which you carried the remainder of the tale just dropped flat.
Frankly, it reminded me of the way Rowling finished TDH with that bland epilogue when she could have just left the bloody book finish up satisfactorily without it. I think this story also could have stood on its own if you'd ended it with Hermione flooing to her new future in Europe after the farewell kiss with Severus without the scene in the cafe.
I will definitely re-read this story, because it's damn good and is one of the best examples of an apocolyptic Potterverse that I've ever read. But I hope you will forgive me if I stop reading right after Hermione kisses Severus in the last chapter. *wry grin* |

Very nice. Lovely plot and enjoyable characters. I especially like Gregorvitch, it's fun to see the ways people can take a canon character that we've never met and turn them into excellent story fodder.
Thanks for sharing this fun story. |
