Reviews for The Man Who Sold the World

I just found this story, and I'm really drawn in...you write beautifully, in addition to the great premise. There are so many authors who can come up with brilliant plots and lots of drama, but don't have the technical ability to pull off a convincing story, and there are those like me, who can write and characterize well enough, but couldn't plot our way out of the proverbial paper bag. You seem to be one of those lucky few who can do both-go you! I'm not entirely sure about how in character everyone is-- though killing off half the cast before the story begins is one of the best ways around that-- but they've barely gotten to interact, thus far, so I'll reserve my judgement til I've read the later chapters. (Which is not really any big chore.) One thing-- poor Lithuania! What did they do to deserve Draco? (My boyfriend is Lithuanian, so I'm feeling protective.)

Author's Response: Lithuania is small. Draco was not worthy to have Austria. That's all. Heh.

Your writing style is brilliant. This is one of the best I have ever read! Please update!

Author's Response: Hah! A new chapter is currently in the queue as of September 5!

This is some amazing writing. I'm serious; it's like reading a published book. The plot is unique and interesting, the situations well thought out, and the characters have real depth. I've never come across a fic like this before. Moving on to the next chapter!

Author's Response: I thank you humbly for your remarks. I've always wanted to hear someone say that.

I didn't find the chapter all that boring. I thought it was pretty good. Your story is very sad yet extremely good! Update soon!

Author's Response: I'm glad my sense of boring is different from others' senses of boring.

You like libraries, too?! That is soooo sweet! I love books. And they love me...ok maybe not, but I like to entertain myself into thinking they do. If you can't already tell, I am an English nerd, myself. Let the nerds rejoice!

Author's Response: I actually worked in a library for a while. It was awesome; I got to check out more than the maximum number of AV materials and I didn't have to pay overdue fines (although Circulation did get testy if we didn't return stuff on time).

Stunning. Absolutely stunning. The plot is creative and believable. The setting is solid, well-constructed. The characters are spot-on. The dialogue is fluid, sometimes sharp. The subtext is delicious and charged and sometimes painful. I love this story. I love it, I love it, I love it. I'm sorry about your father passing away, and you do sound very busy, so I won't hound you for updates. But (!), know that I eagerly await the next one and will certainly read and review as soon as Chapter 25 is posted.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I've started the next chapter; hopefully it writes faster than the last one.

This is definitely one of the best stories I've ever read here at Ashwinder. I love your depiction of a world where voldemort wins. The setting is chilling and frightening, but the perfect place for an adventure. Update as soon as possile! PS: None of your chapters are boring. I was on the edge of my seat the whole way.

Author's Response: Thanks very much! I'm glad your concept of boring differs from mine.

I enjoyed this story so far, I am very disappointed you will not update soon. I have so many questions I want answered. Is there any hope of stopping Tom's rule of terror? Things are looking so bleak I have to wonder. What is going on with Ginny? She's so out of character I'd be willing to believe she's someone else using polyjuice. What exactly happened to Severus, he was tortured and revealed what exactly? He didn't know who the secret keeper was, or so Voldemort said, that part had me really confused. Was he raped and tortured and then legilimens-ed? Or did he betray the order to get some with Bella? Is there anybody else alive... Hagrid , Luna? Anyway, you have to continue this, I think Severus needs a kiss badly, don't you? ;)

Author's Response: Everything will be answered with time. Be patient. ;)
