Reviews for The Man Who Sold the World

wow, that was extremely intese and on the edge of your seat. your writing in this chapter was explicitly clear and stark. i could see almost all fo it readily in my mind's eye clear as day. now that takes some very powerful writing. poor severus, he's had so much happen to him. i really like your perspective of him finally breaking (however sad it might be) because the overall impression we get in the books and transferred into the fanfiction is that he is a strong, unwavering, and unbreakable man who does not feel pain, love, mercy, guilt, or sympathy for anyone. it is hard for hgss shippers/fans to portray severus in a such a vulnerable way, and you did it beautifully. i am anxious for your next update. i think i will contact you to get the update on your chapters, so i won't have to fret about iti daresay that this chapter is one of your best. -The Grim

Author's Response: Whoo! Thanks! I'm sure glad you liked that chapter. I had lots of fun writing it. And yes, poor Severus. He's getting beat up quite a bit. And then some. But, interesting things to come in the next chapters as soon as I can pry the university's teeth out of my flesh.

Uh-oh, I hope GInny isn't a baddie.

Author's Response: We'll see. We'll see.

Pfft. I don't take things at face value. and hermione is a dumb bitch for doing so. But then again I would of been pissed at him if he had done that too. So it's a two way street. Why.. WHY! Is she going into the woods with Ginny? I would of IMMEDIATELY had my guard up if she asked me that. I would of IMMEDIATELY began figuring my way out of the situation. Too bad for 'mione.. yanno?

Author's Response: I know. But really, she's not thinking clearly. There's a serious lack of mental exercise going on here.

Remember what Twain said: "There are lies, damned lies, and statistics"? You have to get a grasp on statistics to protect yourself. Consider it the Muggle DADA program. It's good for you, like vegetables. I love this story, and wish you could post more faster. I keep watch, don't need a notice. Thanks for the sharing.

Author's Response: It's not the statistics that are hard, it's the hundred first-year students that think class is actually a kegger. I graduate in May, so their behaviour is more than a little annoying. I wish I could post faster too, but this month is midterm month. (key evil music)

Oh, I just loved this chapter. Snape's mind read like a sci-fi chapter. It reminded me of how your story started out, a little 1984 with hints of sci-fi and of course a lot of mystery. Please hurry with the next update. :)

Author's Response: I'll try my best, but now all my writing time is devoted to essays and studying for midterms. I'll be very glad come May.

An Albus who is not necessarily what he seems, a Hermione who casts Unforgivables, I can't wait to see what's next. Is there something more to Hermione's wand? I like that your Snape is still sarcastic and rude, I wouldn't have him any other way.

Author's Response: As far as I know, there isn't anything more to Hermione's wand, unless Vasiliy's been plotting behind my back. But I don't think he would do that, because I control his crumpet intake.

Ah! The suspension! Interesting chapter, can't wait for your next update!

Author's Response: Thanks! I thought it was time for an evil cliff hanger. Haven't had one in a while (or at least in my head, not for a while.)

I find an uncanny number of references to Russia in fanfiction lately ;) Why, that' nice, 'cause I am Russian? but is it possible to obtain a suggestion about the reasons of such popularity? And the diminutive for Vladimir is Vova :) I like your story, really :) there is something definitely reminding me of Remark. For more inspiration and productiveness, Daria

Author's Response: I know the actual diminutive is Vova, but I thought Vovo sounded nicer for a House Elf (but thanks for the imput! It's great to have people keeping an eye on me!) I don't know if there's really a reason for the Russian references, other than it is an important and large country that has had a great deal of importance in the history of the Western world, especially in Europe.
