| Very neat story -- I like how human you made Sev & Hermione throughout this. : ) It would have been really easy to fall into the stereotype of having them be quasi-superheroes, but instead you kept them with all their errors and weaknesses (which made their strength & determination that much greater). : ) |

| Normally when I don't like a story, I just leave it without saying anything but this time...hell, I loved this story, right up until the end. That was the shittiest ending I've ever read, it's not even an ending! I wasn't expecting fluff or rainbows and dancing unicorns or anything but some closure would have been nice. |

| This is a stunningly plotted and well-written story. However, I do feel a little left in the cold. You've wrapped me up with these characters and pulled me in, and I'm invested in the ending. Even if Hermione truly does walk away alone, with no intention to become involved with the URF - or with Severus - in the future, I want to know what happens to Severus. It feels a little like the story got a bit heavy for you to continue, and you decided to write one of these endings. That is understandable, but I implore you to return one day, if you feel as if you can. Perhaps a shorter fic, which lets us find out - whether the ending is good or bad for our heroes - how you foresaw the ending to this. I'm sure you have the picture in your mind of how you want this to end, so I hope one day you'll return to write it.
Anway.... I did wholeheartedly enjoy this until the end, and I was particularly struck by your use of imagery - especially the idea of 'impure' people living in the ghetto. For obvious reasons, this is a very compelling image, and I'm always drawn in when people write 'Voldemort wins' stories and take this approach to the aftermath. Dark, and believable. Thank you for writing, and I hope to see something else from you in the future. -DV |

| I did favorite this story, but honestly, that was not a real ending. You just got tired of having the weight of it around your neck and decided to end it. Even JKR wasn't quite as abrupt with her ending of DH (although that epilog was another unsatisfying end). Oh, hell--oh, well. |
