| In the 3rd book, Siris and Remus use a spell to force Scabbers back into his human form (that of Peter Pettigrew). Why doesn't Dumbledore use that spell to force Snape back? Author's Response: I suppose I should have backed that choice up better. I freely admit to playing around a bit with the properties of an Animagus to further my plot. That makes the fic a bit AU. | |||

| I don't think I mentioned it earlier, I really like the use of the clock and how you compared it to being glued to a soap opera. Even though I knew exactly what was going on with Snape and Hermione, I found myself (in past chapters) constantly wondering what Dumbledore might be seeing on his clock. I also wondered (which you never addressed) where Harry and Ron's faces might be pointing to (therefore showing how they're handling the situation). Author's Response: Lol, yes I could have addressed that; but I rather felt I had created a bit of a plot monster with that clock! I felt I'd do better from backing off from it a bit, before it stole the whole story! :) | |||

| I really like "mature Ron" and the example of how he handled himself during the first-year chess game, thereby showing that this was not "out of character" for him, when then situation demanded it (maturity, that is). Author's Response: I'm glad you did! I don't think Ron is an idiot so much as he's a typical teenage boy. Poor fellow doesn't often get any credit in fanfic. :) | |||

| Don't unicorns (according to JKR) prefer females? I thought I remembered Hagrid having them (Magical Creatures class) and the girls were told to approach it first---boys held back. I guess they do like some males, just prefer females. I'm certainly not complaining, just saying that that would definitely be another reason to tick off Snape! I'm sure he doesn't like to think of himself as having any feminine qualities. Hee hee! Author's Response: Lol! He would indeed be unhappy at having such feminine qualities! I do remember that when whatshername took over the class for Hagrid, they liked the girls best. But I say they like the Potions master best of all! *giggle* :) | |||

| Thnkyou, thankyou thankyou! I think this is the only story where Harry actually has the gumption to tell Ron, in so few and furious words, what an idiot he is. Thank God you have written Harry's character as separate, and not tied to Ron- as together I think they can be quite imbecilic (is that a word?). Anyway, it needed to be done. And you did it.
