Reviews for Naked Journey

I just found myself doing the seemingly impossible. The building of the crypt was so touching that I started crying but upon reading the word “Bob” I started laughing hysterically. Sevvie, ‘Mione, and Bob. Great fic. Thanks for writing.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Bob's name does seem to lighten the mood, doesn't it! :)

This has been a wonderful adventure. Noble and humane..I like this view of Snape. You write very well and capture the moment with crystal clarity. I appreciate your sharing this with us very much.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed my first foray into fanfiction! :)

One of the best fics I've ever come across! Very well written, and you tell a wonderful story.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! :)

Wonderful ending! WONDERFUL story! Poor first-years! Hee hee!

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And thank you for your many kind and thoughtful reviews. Once a story is completed, you don't get that often! :)

Why did Snape return to his form unclothed? When Siris changed into his dog form and back again, he remained clothed. Is this just something you changed for the purpose of the story or am I wrong? Excellent solution to the problem, by the way. I like how Harry said it just jokingly and Hermione went with it, seeing its plausibility.

Author's Response: I tied the nakedness into the fact that he hadn't his wand. In my mind, he was able to transform his body but couldn't manage the extra accoutrements. That is why, when unicorn Severus leads the others to where he has left Hermione, one of the things they find is a pile of black clothes. As I made a distinction in this story about wandless transformation vs wanded, that bit seemed to fit. :)

I think it's great that Snape is getting to see different sides (his strategist and competetive sides) to Ron that contradicts the "stupid dunderhead" impression he always had of him. I also think that he could never understand what Hermione saw in Harry and Ron since they certainly couldn't keep up with her intellectually. Now he gets to see firsthand how well they compliment eachother and how loyal they are to their friendship.

Author's Response: I've always thought that the biggest reason Harry and Ron and Severus hated each other so much was that they really didn't understand each other at all. If any of them could manage to act like an adult about it, they'd get along much better. :)

Well, I just finished reading this chapter and you answered my previous question (why he can't just hold his wand to change). I think in the future, I'll finish reading the chapter before showing my ignorance and asking stupid 'answered-two-paragraphs-later' questions. *hangs head in embarrassment*

Author's Response: Don't be silly! I love knowing that what I've written is making people think about the possibilities! Not to mention the kick I get out of knowing I've got a reader who is champing at the bit to see what's going to happen. It makes me feel that I've at least done something right! :)

Ok, I'm still desperate for a way to return him to his human form, sooooo.... could he take his wand in his mouth and transform himself back? He needs his wand to transform and that would be having his wand so why can't he do it? Is it because he has to have it on him when he transforms in the first place thereby leaving it "on him" verses in his mouth and therefore not really a part "of him"? I don't, of course, expect you to answer any of my questions, but my husband really isn't interested in hearing about your story (no offence---he just doesn't care about Harry Potter or fanfics) so I have to spout off my questions and frustrations to someone even if they don't respond. Like my beloved husband (and most guys), you can just grunt once in a while during my incessant babbling and I'll be perfectly happy!

Author's Response: ROFL! My, but your trials remind me so much of me tring to tell my poor fiance about some favorite story I've been reading! Sometimes I wish he'd at least pretend an interest! As for your questions, I expect they have already been answered by your reading on. ;)
