| how is that fair?? pure blood can remain single?? but others cant?? i thought everyone of age pure blood or other wise had to marry under this law?? “I will reassure them that the ban is not expected to last for more than about six months and that the pure-bloods are entitled to remain single until things are back to normal.”

“It’s a criminal offence for a married woman to have a lover but only the husband can bring the charge. The penalties are severe. As I say I would not seek to see you punished though I would ask you to be discreet. We know that this marriage would be one of convenience but it would ill-suit my pride to have it discounted as such by others.”
“Professor, by marrying me you would be giving up the right to marry a woman you truly love in the future. I’m scared you’ll be getting a poor bargain.”
