| I find it vaguely disturbing that you feel the need to place your wizarding world back five or six centuries in terms of human rights and social development. While I bow to your obvious knowledge of the books and enjoy your recreation of wizarding life, I do wish the intellient Hermione we all know and love had not been so sadly downgraded to the passive bride embracing the medieval restrictions placed upon her in your story. asmywhimseytakesme@hotmail.com Author's Response: It's not so much a question that I 'feel the need'. I took on a challenge which centred on an arranged marriage between the couple where Hermione had to accept her role. I chose to do it by having centuries old customs brought back into common usage and by having the couple fall in love. This was the way I felt I could best satisfy requirements and maintain a sense of reality within the story. I have known several women who have had arranged marriages and those who embrace their new role are generally the ones who adjust and I don't think that it reflects badly on their intelligence. | |||

| Poor Susan, poor Ron. It was bad enough to find themselves about to be parents, now they have an engagement and a death to mourn. Will their relationship survive? Tune in next time... Sorry, couldn't help the cheesy announcer bit. I'm glad that Draco's turning out to be an OK guy, 'cause I really like him. It's too bad they can't rescue the Malfoy fortune before the Ministry confiscates it. Maybe Draco should go to the Gringott's before the trial and withdraw every single galleon, sickle and knut and put them in an unnamed account. Then, when Lucius is found guilty, all the ministry would get would be the actual manor. Draco and Maria would still have all the money. That's what I would do if I were Draco. | Okay...Ron is redeemed. Blaise is a jerk, but we all knew that. Severus had every right to threaten to kill Blaise and Draco is a hero. This is going nicely. I am sad about the loss of the babies though. I think it was for the best...but it is still sad. I am wondering if Susan and Ron are going to break up. I think Ron might want to...I would. this is a great story. It keeps you thinking! | |||
