| Oh wow! I was so not expecting that! After the slow build-up, to shatter their tenuous leanings towards each other like this was gut-wrenching. From when Ginny blurted out the hateful, humiliating words, I read the rest of the chapter with both hands firmly clasped over my gasping mouth (which did make it a tad difficult to scroll down the page!). It was like watching a traffic accident, only worse. I truly want to sympathise with Ginny, and I wonder if her desperation stems from something other than just insecurity and selfishness, but at the moment, I am hating her right along with Hermione. The poor girl! To have her feelings revealed to Snape in that sordid manner. And of course, Snape must feel betrayed as well. I am glad though, that she held firm and explained to him how she loved him and did not let him walk away thinking the worst of her. Even if she did have to invoke the life-debt to do so (which I am guessing will endear her even less to Snape). I wonder what will happen with them after this? How can the rift possibly be repaired? And I do hope Hermione's future career will not suffer the consequences of Ginny's rashness. I really can't wait for the next update. This must be the best sshg fic I am reading at present. I applaud your skill. |

| it might be a good thing my roomate is sleeping as i am teary. that was amazng. i dont think i was breathing there at the end...but thats ok. it was amazing

| Wow.. from the moment Ginny let the cat out of the bag my hand clapped over my mouth and I held my breath.. I don't think I let go of either until the end of that beautiful impassioned speech.. this was truly an amazing chapter! Not quite the way Hermione imagined Snape finding out her feelings, I'm sure, and I'm certain it will take him a long time to begin the healing process again from what he'll undoubtedly view as a betrayal. The poor man has had so many in his life! Wonderful chapter.. now I'm off to search for some tissues - Hermione's speech brought a few tears to my eyes! |

| Poor Snape - just when he had begun to revive. Poor Hermione - she didn't deserve anything like this, and I'm so glad you didn't let her cower beneath his glare. And as for Ginny - well, I may be in the minority here, but I pity her, too - she has no idea the damage she's done or what she'll have lost. |
