| Wow, good and intense chapter. I really liked the discussion of feelings between Ginny and Hermione. I liked the insights exchanged about boys and their sexuality, and how it differed, and yet could be similar, to the way girls need more verbal and emotional reassurances. Excellent insights. I'm also glad Severus was shown at the end to be emotionally frayed, yet receptive to receiving Hermione's last potions for him. It was obvious that for all his point-taking fury, Ginny's remarks were hitting home, especially as he sat alone in his chambers, mulling over everything she said, everything that had happened. Excellent, excellent chapter! |

| I've come late to this story and I've been reading through to catch up, but I wanted to stop to tell you how well you'e captured the characters. I can never accept a "fluffy" Severus because with all that had been done to him from his schooldays on, he'd be a very damaged person. Only his fine intellect would see him through. And I like this Hermione - book-smart, but emotionally still eighteen and vulnerable. Her agonising over the wording of the letter to Snape was perfect! And - I'm glad you allowed Hedwig to survive; hers was one of the most unconscionable deaths in DH. |

| I absolutely love this. I enjoy it so much more when an author actually builds the relationship slowly and realistically, and this is wonderful. I love that your Hermione isn't the confident, brave, lioness that everyone else portrays her to be and that you actually give her insecurities and make her real. Thank you! I started this story this evening and I can't wait for more, I'm just glad it seems like you update every week! |

| I loved the scene between Hermione and Ginny. In so much SSHG, Hermione's friendships, especially with women are rather scanty in evidence and this one feels real and complex. Loved the moment between Hermione and Snape at the end, too. |
