| Excellent chapter! I love how your view of Snape is one I've never consedered yet find completely plausible. That's what's so special about this character. There are SO many interpretations to be made and appreciated. Well done!
I was also very impressed with (and suitably horrified by) the Hermione/Poppy conversation. I love that fact that Poppy knows him well enough to speculate on his frame of mind given all of the pain he's suffered through. I just wish she had been there for young Severus during his formative Hogwarts years as a confidante or a shoulder to cry on. Or even better, an authority figure committed to right the wrongs done to him.
Anyway, I'm just rambling now. Thanks for the fantastic story. I can't wait to read the next chapter. |

| What Ginny points out is as sad as it is insightful. Just because Hermione may clear up his physical pain does NOT mean the residue of all his corresponding emotional anguish won't still be there. I also feel for Hermione's deep need to see the expression on his face when the pain lifts. How angst-filled! What a chapter! |
