| I really like this opening chapter. It gave us what was needed to bring Severus "back from death" and it punched Harmione hard with something I felt a lot of us picked up on in HBP - that Harmione was not as "talented" in some of her subjects as her grades may have proved. Harry was better than she was when he had "help from the Prince". The "Prince" (or Severus) seemed to know on instinct what to do with potions where Harmione is very good with memorizing facts. This puts the story on edge already and gives us something to spring off from. He reminds me of a chemistery teacher I had in college years ago...bastard! |

| I just discovered this story, and I really have to compliment you on the way you've written the characters--Hermione and Ginny expose more of themselves than we would see in canon, yet it remains convincing. Am looking forward to reading more chapters. :) |

| Another great chapter. It's so satisfying to have a nice long scene with Ginny as Hermione's confidante - something we didn't get to see much of in canon since that was mostly from Harry's viewpoint. You have Ginny and Hermione's characters down so well - I can almost believe it's JKR writing, except I like your plot better! :) |

| what a great plot twist. you managed to get hermione and snape to have continued extracurricular interactions without making her a potions ace. great! I also love the relationship she has with ginny, it's charming. beautiful writing. wish there was a tiny bit more dialogue though. keep up the great work (and great posting pace!) |

| Interesting chapter. Your portrayal of Ginny is unusual in SSHG fics, but I do think it has its merits and you've done a good job of justifying it. As to the main pairing, Hermione's interest in Snape is nicely explained without seeming too pat. I look forward to the story's development |
