| The glory of fan fiction is an author's ability to take oversimplified, young adult reactions as per original author and dig to find the realities of prolonged physical damage as causation for Severus' psychological pathology. He seems to want physical health, but, oops, he has to deal with his own sexuality to regain optimum balance and, oops again, he has to involve a younger, naive female to achieve his goals. I think he made a wrong assumption about Hermie's virginity. I had a little giggle that he made himself presentable for a second female that he was positive would accompany her. Now, he's painted himself into a corner, partner-wise. Your understanding of physical pain and its negative effects on decision making is very empathetic. I'm guessing how this sexual stumbling block will be overcome, but will keep it to myself.
Minerva doesn't seem to be helping the situation...or is she? Awaiting the next chapters. JF |

| Let me just say first off I'm so excited that you've updated. I had thought this had been abandoned and I absolutely love it! Your characterization of Snape is wonderful. I'm eager to see how this will pan out. I believe there is more that Severus sees at stake here than just his privacy. Hope to see another update soon! Thanks for the amazing read. |

| I found your story from a rec on Live Journal hgss digest and it did not dissappoint. Your story is wonderful and I'm so glad I checked it out. I can empathize with your Hermione about wanting to discover who she is and what she really wants out of life. We've all been there at some point or another. Her desire to help Professor Snape is interestingly portrayed and well written. I'm looking forward to your next chapter. |

| This is so beautifully written. I love the complexity of the emotions you've written into the story - Hermione here is so wonderfully introspective with regard to her and Snape. I love the pace you're taking this story too - its so nicely developed and fleshed out without any rushing - Snape and Hermione haven't gotten anywhere near a cordial relationship in 11 chapters and I just love that it is that way - their relationship can't be rushed at all. The characterisation and plot in this story is also beautifully done - I love prickly, proud Snape and it was utterly realistic and in keeping with Hermione's spirit to show her depression post-war and her subsequent slow recovery - and Ginny (who I'm not usually too fond of) is delightful and so is Madam Pomfrey, Professor Vector etc.
Brilliant job! I shall be eagerly anticipating your next update. |

| Great writing! You're great at setting up a scene, concisely capturing a sense of locations through vivid imagery, and in drawing out two very realistic characters with excellent integrity to canon personalities. Wow. Don't stop! :) :) :) |
