| Great chapter! Humor, honesty, angst, self-doubt, self-realization - Hermione's going through quite a time! I love it that she's changing course and deciding on what *she* really wants. And her compassion for Snape's condition is really touching. Plus now I can't wait for Ginny to get the *whole* story out of her! You've got a lot of great threads going here. :) UPDATE FAST!! |

Snape sounds like he's paying Hermione some attention too, or reassessing what he thinks of her. |

| Hah! This is indeed an interesting story. Unfortunately, it's set in the 90's, so Severus doesn't have the chance to watch any House, M.D. I do presume he's already taking the best analgesic potions available, and is creating healing potions as he has time to.
'Be yourself and everyone will love you' is complete and utter nonsense. Hopefully Hermione realizes that even as she realizes that being yourself has advantages, and disadvantages.
Hermione cutting herself was interesting - I have to wonder if Severus was using Legilimency when she looked at him.
And, at some point, Hermione should thank Severus for his blunt comments. Certainly accurate, given her portions performance in HBP compared, apparently, to Severus's own. |
