| I love what you've done in this story so far. I do find the Snape in-character and appealing, but what stands out for me here is the Hermione. It’s often Snape in the ship that understandably is cleaned up and glamorized, but this Hermione makes me realize how often that’s true of her as well. No cinnamon orbs or flowing silky locks here. Instead we get a “chubby” and spotty teen, one with enough maturity the thought of her with Snape isn’t incongruous, brilliant, but no Mary Sue that strikes you as a thirty-something either. She makes mistakes. She learns. (I like what you did with Ginny, Lavender and other characters as well so far. Characters imbued with some roundness, not just fanon caricatures) In other words, this Hermione feels very real to me. I'm eagerly looking forward to more. |

| This is a wonderful story. I have to tell you, I cried so much. It is very touching and a bit sad. Not that it isn't enjoyable, it totally is. I feel for Snape and Hermione. I love how it has conflict and everything is believeable. Sorry, I'm rambling but it's late and I'm tired but I just had to say something about your story. Hope for an update real soon. Thanks! |
