| Severus will be a hard nut for Hermione to crack! He is so very damaged. They seem to have some sort of connection, however, and he might be the one looking out for her regarding her wandering. I wonder why?
It's odd though - I though I had remembered reading that he was impotent, and yet Hermione has rampant sexual thoughts about him, seemingly forgetting about that specific injury. Maybe that's one of the things she hopes to cure? Or he's already been cured of it? Or maybe I read it in another fic and have gotten confused. ^_^;

| I found several parts of this chapter to be beautifully rendered. I loved the calm feeling that the scene with Hermione brushing her teeth imparted. This phrase really made me chuckle: "It strongly resembled a predatory tropical vine. " And, of course the scene with the unicorn was great. I found it interesting that you had Hermione compare it to the feelings that a woman has for her newborn--lovely imagery. |
