| Rejoices to find SS/HG fics with plenty of smut, believable plot, decent characterisation, snappy dialogue AND attention to grammar/usage/spelling. (Yeah, I'm a grammar fiend.) I can generally tell within the first paragraph whether I'll like your story or not. If I can hear and see the characters as I'm reading, you're a winner. If I forget I'm reading, then you're brilliant, and I'm going to tell you so. OTOH, if your writing is clumsy and you've made a lot of errors, I'll keep my mouth shut.
