| Oh Granger has got under his skin al right. He is so on the path to falling for her. I absolutely loved the conversation about pure-bloods attitudes to muggle-borns, what a fascinating take on the issue. I especially loved this line as it sums him up perfectly: "Other men were able to navigate simple debates without finding themselves the source of pain and disappointment." Awww! Bless him! | Loving the way you transport us into Snape's discomfort at his new existence. He has to learn a new way of being and a new way of interacting with people he used to communicate with by intimidation tactics. I feel so sorry for him feeling his way around his discomfort zone. I'm sure he will learn how to get along with everyone eventually in a new and much more satisfying way than before ultimately. I am looking forward to going on the journey with him. | So it is out then! Draco must have let on to Harry or Harry already suspected. I can't wait to read about the dinner and the details of Severus' shopping for Hermione's gift....and of course, there is the possibility that he will give in and go to the Ministry event after all. I have been watching reruns of Northern Exposure which has a couple that have a 40 year age difference. They are so well matched that it seems natural they are together. I guess I don't see anything wrong with the 20 year difference between Severus and Hermione but I do know so many people who would. It would be natural for Severus to begin to wonder how others saw him (added to what he already thinks they see him as!) I can't wait to read the next chapter. Author's Response: I love Northern Exposure as well and I know exactly who you mean. The dynamic of their relationship is very different than an SSHG one, but I agree, I don't doubt the rightness/sincerity of their love at all, although yes, from the outside, there'd be a lot of judging. | I just love how this is developing....slowly. There mutual interest in one another is rather tame and I really like that right now. Kind of slow burning. Of course making things more difficult is that Snape has nothing of interest to do but the library and gardening. He is a man lost without a cause. Author's Response: Thank you!
