Reviews for Killing Time

Earplugs for chocolates! I'd say Severus had every right to feel he'd been the better giver in this instance, even if the original idea had not been his own. And one can't blame Hermione for 1) not expecting anything special from Severus, knowing him and his background; 2) not wanting to over-gift him, in the sense of embarrassing him by overdoing a gift, not knowing what he would--or more likely, wound NOT be giving. So you did a very realistic portrayal of this, I think. Plus, I loved the way you described his feelings as he comforted her tears. Very well done, indeed. Another "10" for you. Thanks for all your efforts!

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm very glad that you were able to read so much into their gift exchange!!

This really is a strange world! Severus actually mingling with people, Kreacher not calling Hermione filth and mudblood, Malfoy and Potter playing chess, Hagrid and Peeves rumours??? And Filch admitting he doesn't want to go back to Hogwarts without help! LOL! What a Christmas to remember!

Author's Response: It is a weird world! Snape's been saying it all along. LOL!

I would have loved to have been at the Christmas dinner. The tension in there would have been slightly less then the one I spend with my hubbys family lol good chapter

Author's Response: Hehehe. I know exactly what you mean. ;)

Such a Christmas! Reminds me of the first year after my father died. The family gathered together as always, but there was an uncomfortable feeling to it. Like it wasn't a holiday at all. ^_^

Author's Response: Yes, I imagine that grief definitely had a seat at the table. I'm very sorry about your father. xoxo

I think there needs to be a society for the protection of Filch or something. I'm sure Hermione could come up with a good acronym. Kreacher was gorgeous in his high chair.

Author's Response: Hehehe. I think you're right!

This is such a wonderful fic. I've taken to checking Ashwinder more frequently just to see when you update. The feeling of an odd, hodgepodge family - it's something I've noticed since I've come to school (I am a history major at a women's college, so my academic "family" is essentially girls my age and men of about fifty sitting around and discussing hypothetical anarchy). I love the slow, awkward progression of Hermione and Severus's relationship, and the fact that it's not the *only* part of your plot. Cheers and hope to see another update soon. LC

Author's Response: I'm so glad you're seeing "family" in their strange, mismatched relationships. That's exactly what I'd hoped for! Thank you very much.

I like this story very much. Nice that Snape had a somewhat nice x-mas. Looking forward to follow the development in his and Hermiones friendship and what will go on in Hogswarth

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad he had a decent Christmas too. More to come quite soon!
