This is one of the most interesting time-turner openings I have ever had the pleasure of reading (and I absolutely love TT-fics). I'm really exited about reading one which seems to be HBP compliant. It opens up a whole new can of worms *ahem* I mean possible plot lines. Very well written and it catches your interest immideately. Ron's jealousy of Terry Boot was a nice detail.

The only thing that confused me was the sentence "Having spent as many years in the presence of the younger man as she had with the elder, Hermione could once again hear an expression. " I presume it is Snape, but when did she spent time with the younger Snape?

Author's Response: I LOVE TT fics, too! And I haven't seen many written in this particular era (June, 1980) when Sev first starts teaching. And it will have a LOT to do with the events in HBP - from Dumbledore's murder to the Horcruxes and RAB. You're right. That line IS confusing now that I look at it. When I wrote it, I meant that she had spent as many years in the presence of the younger man (Snape) as she had with the elder (Dumbledore). But by "younger man," I only meant that Snape was younger than Dumbledore... not that he was younger than himself.... Yikes! All this time warp stuff can get mightily confusing. I'll probably go edit that line soon. Thank you for your thoughtful review!

cool and let me guess Hermione fills in as DADA professor, that will be very cool!

Author's Response: That's a good guess! And I definitely thought about it. But she hasn't taken her NEWTs yet...

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Very intriguing! And very in character so far. I'm looking forward to more. - Fionnait

Author's Response: Thanks! I hope you enjoy what's coming up. It's a slow build here at the beginning in order to establish this particular universe in time. I'll look forward to reading your thoughts later.

Ooh! I'm hooked. I am eagerly waiting to see just where you take this.

Is my understanding correct that in this story, Snape is to be considered completely guilty of Dumbledore's murder?

I loved the BTTF reference. That's one of my favorite trilogies. I especially love the line "Besides, Harry and Ron didn’t need any encouragement in the flying car department." Way to tie the stories together!

Author's Response: In the BEGINNING of this story, yes, Snape is considered to be guilty of Dumbledore's murder. In the present day of the story (Hermione's seventh year), everyone - including Hermione - assumes he's guilty. After all, they only have observable facts to go by as no one really knows Snape very well. That will, of course, change. :)

And the flying car line was my FAVORITE one to write! Thanks so much for your review!
