| I read the first chapters of this story and you stopped updating and I thought you have abandoned it. BUT I see you have not - I hope you will keep on writing Author's Response: I know I was gone for quite a long time. Not that it's any exuse, but I work with a theatre company, and I was actually busy writing for some plays we had going. Anyway, I have not abandoned the story. The next two chapters are mostly written, and I know where it's going. So, thank you so much for sticking with it! | |||

| Just found this and I love it. I'm quite partial to Time Turner fics and there arent enough well written ones out there. This is brilliant. i love your Hermione- she's strong and smart without being the typical super witch. And I like the difference between younger-Snape and older-Snape in this. Please update soon, I can't wait! Author's Response: I'm glad you like this Time-Turner fic. I just wanted to write one that was set in a different time frame than the usual ones. | Oh, new chapter! Fantastic!
The story is progressing very nicely indeed. Severus' fury at being prevented from listening in to the end was fantastic, and the way it melded with the canonic succession of events was superbly accurate. The cat and mouse game he played with Hermione was quite brilliant as well. I especially liked the way he used her innate respect for his (older self's) authority to get her to divulge that it had been a Prophecy they'd both listened in to. Thankfully, Hermione remembered her Occlumency, lest she allowed him to glimpse that she did in fact know the full contents of said Prophecy as well.
One thing that was a bit off, I thought, was the level of intimidation that Hermione succumbed to. I certainly think she misjudged Snape's level of restraint as a professor, but that in itself was quite accurate given the tack you had her take after the incidents on the Astronomy Tower, and the shift in her perception of Snape that they produced. However, when it came to berating/belittling/criticising, Snape wasn't anywhere near as harsh with Hermione as he was with her friends, and other, more hapless of her classmates. And so the way she describes herself as being intimidated or out of her depth seems rather inaccurate, really, given her lack of reactions to all but 'I see no difference' of the canon occurrences.
The interlude showing us Dumbledore's thoughts was once again superb, and exploits Dumbledore's potential for manipulation, as well as his 'many facets' to perfection. His contemplation of being a mentor to the future Chosen One is a delicious reminder of the irony that best laid plans often carry.
Finally, the chemistry between Severus and Hermione during their kiss was absolutely sizzling. And if he thought he couldn't control his hormones upon contact with her chin, I am curious as to how said hormones will react once he comes back from his Summons, more or less elated that he could deliver a Prophecy to his Lord, I'm sure; Hermione tied to his bed will be the first thing he and his hormones lay eyes on, after all. Author's Response: I'm really glad you liked my depiction of Snape in this chapter. Your points on Hermione have given me a lot to think about. I completely agree that Snape wasn't anywhere near as harsh with her as the others (as his insults about being a know-it-all contain a certain amount of compliment in them). And you're right, she typically doesn't react. I think her fear at this point stems from not knowing what to expect from him. Before the Astronomy Tower, she had him pegged. Now (especially now, since they're in the past, Voldemort is gaining power, he's definitely a DE, etc.) she doesn't know what to expect from him. He very well could hurt her, but at the same time, she feels an odd sort of magnetism to him. And I think Hermione is more afraid of Not Knowing than perhaps anything else, which is why I chose to have her react the way she did. I think you're absolutely right, though, that she doesn't tend to feel out of her depth around him. I think it's more circumstances that had me choose to go this way with her character. But never fear, she will regain her equilibrium and make him stop bullying her. Soon. And I'm so excited that you liked the Dumbledore stuff. I wanted to show a lot of canon stuff that was affected by this time frame (and potentially affected by Hermione's placement in this time frame). Will Hermione tied on his bed be the first thing Severus sees? We shall find out... :) Thank you SO MUCH for your thoughtful response. Means the world to me. Thanks! | |||

| Whoah. I don't care if I've read a hundred time-turner fics before. If they're well done -- as this one is -- they are a great read. Author's Response: Thanks! I also love TT fics. And I really wanted to write one in this era, since it seems less explored that the Marauders-at-school time frame. | |||

| I like this story so far. I don't think I've read a time-tunner where Severus is in his twenty's and not in school. Can't wait to see where you take this story. Please update soon.
