| Ahh! A kiss -- in the Great Hall, of all places! It's going to be interesting to see how Severus and Hermione cope with working on the same staff, and living in the same building -- it isn't an issue often addressed by fanfic writers and, according to my friend Amanda (who is currently seeing one of her new housemates), is one that should DEFINITELY be a concern.

Oh, this just says it all! I've loved this story from the start, and this chapter was a real treat. Both Severus and Hermione walk the finest of lines here, and it's so exciting to watch (er, read) them do so. Author's Response: Ha! Thanks for commenting on that line; it was one of my favorites to write. | I am enjoying this story, slow as the development is. Delayed gratification is a good thing, I keep repeating. Please don't stop, as she might tell him one day ;-))) Author's Response: Ha! You're right; the plot is moving slowly. I wanted to pick up the pace, but there is so much character adjusting and changing to cover. I am also hoping that delayed gratification is a good thing, so I do hope the story lives up to it. And there will be lemons eventually, I promise. Thanks! | |||

| It seems they have both done some major soul searching and at least come to the conclusion that they like each other. Severus has admitted to himself that he would like to spend the rest of his life with her, and Hermione appears to be afraid of falling for the man he is now because of the man he appears to be later. At least he knows how to shut her up, that is valuable information. Author's Response: They definitely like each other, but I think their relationship is still on uneven footing while Hermione works through reconciling the two Severuses she knows. And it's always good to shut Hermione up... especially when Severus does it! Thanks! | |||
