Awww! He's a good Daddy. :)

Author's Response: That's the premise of all the happy-ending SS/HG stories, isn't it? It's not like he'd turn into a rotter and mistreat his kids. No fun in that! Thanks for reading!

Wow.. I really love this story. its awesome. I just had to stop and put a review here. I was wondering where you got the name Thibault for Celeste? Thats my last name, lol and I happen to have a daughter that I named Celeste...lol. I thought it was kind of nifty. XD

Author's Response: Great coincidence! Actually, when I took French in high school, the lessons were always about Monsieur et Madame Thibault. I don't remember that much French, but I did remember the name! And I'm glad you're enjoying the story. Thanks for reading!

This is one of those brilliant, clever and original stories that are so NICE to read! It actually DEALS with Hermione and Ron's marriage, and divorce, without just briefly mentioning it. The relationship between Hermione and Snape is so tentative and written in such a mature way, that it leaves no doubt that Hermione and her friends have grown up, and no longer are hormonal teenagers. There were so many brilliant points in this story, and what I liked the best was the discussion between the two, about Houses, and their qualities. I definitely have to read that essay, because I think it's a subject that deserves more attention. And in chapter 18, where Severus feels like he's 16 again, waiting for a girl to come down the stairs, I couldn't help but picture Snape, pimples all over his face, a mullet (that is what they are called, right? When you wear your hair long in the back?), and wearing a light blue polyester tuxedo! So funny. The only thing that really, really bugged me is Samantha. It just seems that almost every fanfiction writer uses that name whenever they introduce an OFC! It's a nice name, but when it is used so often it just becomes unoriginal. But otherwise, great story!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I really appreciate your input, even the concern about the use of the name Samantha! I had no idea the name was so overused. I don't think I could have written this story without the fine essays I referred to; I always think that I'm a huge Potter fan, but when I read those essays it strikes me how few deep, original thoughts I have about the series. I'm really in the debt of those who dig so deep in Jo's sandbox.

I regret not reading this fic sooner. Sometimes I feel like you're addressing it to writers of OOC Snapes; in your hands he is just beautifully fleshed out. I just love the balance between his eloquence, when it comes to sarcasm and bitterness, and his discomfort with fluffy, abstract phrases like "I love you". Even Ron here is more than just the simply stupid, bitter ex that I see far too many times in SSHG fics. And of course, I just love your Hermione! She's a very strong woman here, as she really is of course, but I especially like how you let her insecurities and crazy moments show without being overdramatic.

Author's Response: Wow, thank you! It's so much fun to write Severus, but you walk a very fine line when you do. Yes, OOC Snapes truly annoy me as well. And I like to think that Hermione was doing a fine job of making the transition to suddenly single after all those years of marriage; that has to be so difficult for women to do. And poor Ron - I've read other stories where he is, as you say, bitter and stupid; I think that real life is not nearly so dramatic. It's more of a gradual growing apart, which I can definitely see happening to the two of them.

I really liked your story. Severus was distrustful but not too malicious. Your description of Hermione seemed realistic to me. I'll definitely reread the story at times

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it enough for a future re-read. And I appreciate your taking the time to review.

Lovely, lovely story. You have done a wonderful job showing these characters in such a realistic light. I especially love the visual at the ending: Snape struggling with a teething baby. Adorable!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I really enjoy writing Snape and Hermione - such great characters. And I also thought the idea of Severus pacing with a fussy baby was a rather charming idea. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
