Ron did bring his new girl friend to the Burrow? That shows rather clearly, that he had this other relationship longer than the separation from Hermione. Otherwise he would have considered that his family isn’t still used to the thought of a divorce, and a new life without Hermione. I guess they were only polite and nothing more to the poor girl.

Harry gives Hermione a hard time, but Ginny in her own way a much harder one, because she makes Hermione look profoundly into her own feelings for Snape.

I think this is wonderfully written. Very believable, very mature, and the story is unfolding in a realistic timeframe. Everyone's individual reactions are natural. A joy to read.

The whole story is extremely...real in a way. It's so full of life and describtions so that one can easily understand Hermione's emotions and feelings. Her feelings for Ron and his new girlfriend are very well described and one can really see that she's torn between a lot of things. There's still Harry and the Weasley family -who Hermione doesn't want to lose. But then there's her growing attraction to Severus and her own confusing feelings. I think your way of story-telling always hits the nail on the head. Your stories are, in a way, pure and very much influenced by our daily life and that's what makes it work. Poor Hermione! She's stuck in marital purgatory...not really married anymore, but not yet divorced. It'll be interesting to see if Ron has any reaction to Hermione's "friendship" with Snape.

Very sweet chapter! You're always updating faster on fanfiction.net which is why I'm reading the story basically over there but I just wanted to let you know that the story remains great! In fact, I think it developes and improves which is what I like in your stories. They never get boring once Hermione and Severus have acknowledged their feelings for each other.
